"Set in the same world as Meg Collett’s bestselling End of Days series comes the darkly comedic paranormal serial spin-off series, Days of New."
This was my first time reading this series, while you need to read the others in the series, it was not hard to catch up or follow.
I would strongly recommend reading the others in this series, first and in order. "Speaking of the Devil", "Full of the Devil", and "Better the Devil You Know".
A unique, fast paced, quick read. The characters are interesting, but complex. The storyline is unique, the author does an excellent job of world building. Angels, both holy, and evil are a part of this tale. As well as evil vs good.
Meet, Zarachiel, a broken holy angel, Cameille, Clark, and Michaela.
A Lost Boys tale with a few twists and turns. While, comedic at times it is a dark Paranormal as well. You will need tissues at times.
Well written, with vivid details. Fans of dark Comedic Paranormal romance will enjoy "Devil in the Details". As well as, fans of Paranormal Romance, Angels, Demons and Fantasy Romance. An enjoyable read! Please be aware this is a new serial series.

Clark is struggle with his good and bad nature since he was human, Nephil and a Descendant. Each pulling him in different directions but mostly he wanted people he loved to stop dying.
Returning with Camille who does not want to be healed but he does not want to see her dead, he forces his magic on her and heals her despite her wishes. He feels guilty that he left Maya with Lucifer nut hopes he will listen to her and hopefully stop another war.
In the meantime, a group called the Loyalists is on a path wanting to destroy all angels since they believe if it were not for their existence the Earth would not be caught up in the war. Zarachiel ends up saving Grace who was attacked by the group.nut admits she is a member since she was left alone and was struggling for food.
Clark and Michaela do not trust her but Zarachiel does do to his trusting nature. He finds himself physically attracted to her as she seduces him. Who is Grace and can she be trusted?
When another life is gone the start of a new war will begin. Who will survive the next chapter and how many lives will be sacrifice once again? Can they find a way to make peace and stop the carnage as we wait for the next installment to conclude.
I couldn't help but respect for Maya for sticking with Lucifer. My sympathies are with Camille after a painful and unwanted revival, and my blood raged and my stomach churned with hatred for Grace and the Loyalists. But my heart cried out for Zarachiel. It was truly a nerve-wracking, head-splitting and gut-wrenching scene, something I never imagined would happen to the beloved and gentle Archangel.
It seemed like all the problems in the world were on Clark’s shoulders and I couldn’t help but empathize with him.
The world is now in chaos. The promise of days of new is far from getting fulfilled. There is bloodshed (as I have predicted on my past review), there is death. Is the world coming to an end?
I got nothing but praises for Meg Collett for another cliffhanging saga. I love everything about this latest installment. Meg sure knows how to fire up a scene and make a heart race. Clark St. James is a promising character and what lies ahead of him is definitely something worth waiting!
Just when you feel like you know where you might be going in this series you trip and tumble into a face first fall.
The heavenly war is over as far as the archangels are concerned and they continue to turn their backs to earth and Clark feeling it's state is no longer their concern.
What price will be paid before they finally see the fires that have been smoldering all along are beginning to rage once again. The price will surprise you and leave you heartbroken.
Meg Collett and I are in a love/hate relation right at this moment!! This is what makes a great series each part continues to get better and better! This one has reduced me to tears for sure.
That feeling you get when reading a book and the characters seem to cross that line in your head that makes them feel so real. THAT is where this series has gone for me. It reaches beyond my reading mind into my emotions. This is such a good paranormal series. If you are contemplating reading this series. I say you totally should. You will not be disappointed. Way to go Meg. Bravo. I can not wait for the final book.
I have received an arc of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Poor Clark can't take too much more, he really needs things to go right. He gets Camille back to their safe house, but his nerves are a wreck and he can't get his magic to work. Camille is in and out of consciousness and in the brief times she's awake she tells Clark not to heal her, let her die. He can't. He loves her, he can finally admit it. Zarachiel tries to explain to Clark why Camille is feeling that way. Clark finally understands why Z didn't want him to try to regrow his wings and why he didn't want to be saved. The Loyalists are still a problem. Clark and Z don't get there in time and most of them are gone, but they don't know where. Michaela breaks the news of what their target was and once again Clark blames himself. The Loyalists' next target though could make or break Clark. He sees that he only has a grasp of moment to moment, even his magic isn't enough to undo all that has been done. One more failure in Clark's eyes could potentially break the wise-ass we've all grown to love if he can't wrap his mind around the bigger picture.
