A great series this book follows on from Devil on Your Back and needs to be read in order. Sawyers story explains why he ended up as twisted as he is, are people capable of changing i`m sure we`ll find out as the series continues. Can`t wait.

I simply devoured Butcher Boys 1 & 2 and I admit I was a little apprehensive to pick up this book, perhaps because it was a Novella made me do it as I really hated Sawyer as a character especially from Book 2 and if you have read that you know what I am talking about. I simply was not ready to read a full story on Sawyer so I knew Max Henry had a purpose to this course taken to give Sawyer a Novella as we do obviously need it going forward and I dam well softened my stance on this character and would now read a whole Sawyer story.

Now moving on I just simply hate Sawyers dad and although I cannot forgive Sawyer for his past mistakes there is simply so much now I want to know about him. I want him to find love, to find forgiveness in his past love, what about Ramona, to find some relationship with his son, I have so much I want for Sawyer, he does have some good in him but growing up with his dad who is a total psychotic bastard.

Fair warning too - the ending will have you going argh where is the next instalment.

Again, I love these Butcher Boys!

I started this book with trepidition, after finishing Devil on Your Back, the last person I wanted to read about was Sawyer.... & BAM Max hits us with Sawyer. I'm so glad I read this though, once I started I couldn't stop. Sawyer was a character I found I didn't care much for, without going into details & ruining it for you, I'll just say he wasn't a character you were made to love... But having just finished reading how Sawyer became what he is, the insight of how he lost himself, then the turning point on how he starts to get his life back..... all I can say is... I NEED MORE SAWYER!!

Seriously Max has outdone herself, my only wish?? I now need more Sawyer! I NEED to know how he fares, if he's able to escape the hell inside himself. Please don't stop Max, I'm in LOVE with your dark writing style.

HASH(0x9692a7ec) out of 5 stars 5 Twisted Stars!!! 29 May 2015

I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.

Do not read this book unless you have read the previous two books in this series. This book picks up right where Devil on Your Back ends and gives us an insight into why Sawyer is the way he is. I didn’t like Sawyer in the previous book, but now I understand him better.

Devil May Care is a short read that will leave you shaking your head. Sawyer is messed up….seriously, the man is crazy. He has these voices “the devil” talking to him in his head, telling him to do all these bad things. But, I can see why he’s crazy, his old man is a piece of work. His father is controlling, has no respect for Sawyer and is a ticking time bomb just waiting to snap.

Even though this is a novella, the emotions are on point, the characters are exciting, and once you start reading, you won’t be able to put it down until the very end. Speaking of the end….holy hell, that is some cliffhanger the author left for us. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart and will leave you wondering what the heck you just read. I am eagerly waiting the next book and will definitely drop everything to read it when it comes out. Reviewed by Jennifer for MNP
HASH(0x96c2c6c0) out of 5 stars Devil May Care (Butcher Boys #3) by Max Henry 25 Feb. 2016

Wowza holy moly! Devil May Care is a short story about Sawyer and Dana. And you lovely people now how I feel about short stories that I really don't like them. But I was really intrigued to read Sawyer book to learn more about him and too find out way he is so mess up in the head. I now a lot of readers didn't like Sawyer, but I was really curious about him when we first were introduce to him in Devil on Your Back. And I wanted to know why he become so cold hearted and crazy. And ohh my I finally did find out on why he is so cold hearted and crazy after reading Devil May Care. I felt just so bad and awful for him when I learn more about Sawyer background and his life living with his sick demented father Carlos. Sawyer lived a horrible life with his father and he has a terrible memory about his mom. But I don't want to say what his memories are because that will be very spoiler, but just know I don't blame him for being so psychotic. Especially what his dear old daddy put him through. Now I don't want to go into any details about Devil May Care but it starts off where Sawyer was trade and taken by his evil father Carlos in Devil on Your Back. His father also kidnapped a young girl name Dana which Sawyer wanted to claim her when he first lays eyes on her. Dana was a very strong fighter and she would have none of that but the more Sawyer learn more about Dana and why his father want to use both of the for. The more Sawyer changed and become very protective over Dana and he never felt anything like what he feels for Dana with anybody else not even with Ramona. And Dana utterly and completely changed him and made him see what he really was turning into. And here is where I am going to leave it of at. I don't want too spoil anybody. But I am really loving and enjoying The Butcher Boys series in each book it's getting more dark and intense that I absolutely love and enjoy reading these amazing series. I so can't wait to read Devil in the Detail next which is Ty and Ramona book which I am really curious about Ty as well!
HASH(0x9692a9a8) out of 5 stars Talk about an emotional roller coaster!! 12 Jun. 2015

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This is a short novella and if you have not read Devil You Know and Devil On Your Back then stop here and go read those first. This starts where Devil on a Your Back ends. I couldn't put this down once I picked it up. I was not a fan of Sawyer he has some bad demons in his head. We get to meet the sweet innocent Dana.

This starts with Sawyer tied up in the back of his dad's car and a we meet another captive that his dad has taken named Dana. When Sawyer saw Dana he claimed her as his. Even though Dana is sweet innocent and naive she saw through Sawyer’s tough exterior and into his soul. Sawyer opened up and we learn why he is the way he is and what happened to him in his past. Dana is a survivor with everything that Sawyers Dad has put her through and taken from her. She still keeps fighting to survive to find a way out.

I was on an emotional roller coaster ride reading this one. Going from hating Sawyer, to understanding him, to crying for him. Then Dana I love her she is strong stands up to Sawyer keeps him on his toes. I just cannot say too much because I don't want to give anything away but I'm so ready for the next book because this one was a cliffy and I need the rest of the story. Great addition to the series Max Henry.

Suck a Duck.

This novella messed me right up, honestly twisted me around like a pretzel. I swear I could not focus reading anything else for like 48 hours after I finished. I could not get Sawyer out of my head...

Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer - my poor misunderstood messed up man - throughout the story, I couldn't make my mind up to whether I wanted to smack you upside the head, hug you so fricking tight to the boobage area or jump your bones... maybe all three??

I swear I went through every emotion whilst reading this, I laughed, swooned, fanned myself and cried - oh did I cry... just writing this review has me tearing up..

If you are a fan of the Butcher Boys books, please please please read this book and I swear all your preconceived notions on Sawyer will just go flying out of the window and you will just fall in to hard book love with him.
I can not wait to read more..
Bring it on Mrs H, Bring it on!!
