Such a great read Pippa and Tyke go through a rough time when Pippa is rescued by her sister Santana and Maddox and the whole of Jokers Wrath MC
When she starts her life again it's hard because she was held captive for years it's all she knows so outside it proving to be harder than she thought and her feelings for Tyke is getting stronger
Tyke has had a hard life and he feels he is letting his MC down by not being able to take part in anything because of his legs but Pippa is helping him deal with his recovery
When Pippa meets her only friend Rainer when they were held captive she is confused by her feelings for him and Tyke so she tries to deal with everything her life has thrown at her
It's a long and interesting road for them all and it's a great story

Hmmm.... Have to say , this one left me a little undecided about the amount of stars I wanted to give it. On the one hand, it's a Bella Jewel book and she generally writes books that I enjoy immensely. Bar Ash, I like her female characters a lot. It wasn't that I didn't like Pippa, it was that I never felt like I connected with her or that she made an impact. It was almost like having a ghost hovering in the background of the story. If a book ever needed to have the lead male character's pov, it was this one. I desperately wanted to hear Tyke' s inner thoughts. I have read enough biker books / alpha male characters to get why he hesitated over their connection but I needed in his head! I just feel that if by the end of the book you are quite happy for the heroine to be with either potential heroes then something is missing. I didn't mind if she was with Tyke or Rainer. In fact, I think I prefer Rainer. It just felt like this book missed the mark for me. I am looking forward to Raide's story very much. I read the taster at the end of this book and for me, that is much more the Bella Jewel writing I know and love.

I love Bella Jewels writing and this was no exception. Why only four stars? Because it wasn't long enough and I wanted to know more detail, for example -Andi, how did she react? What did she do etc. etc.?
This story is about Pippa, she's Santana's sister who was working on a farm as a slave in Mexico after being sold by Kennedy.
Maddox, her sister and some of the MC rescued her. The book starts with the fact that even though time has passed she's still recovering mentally from the effects of her slavery. She likes Tyke, always has and it would appear, always will, but he just acts as her friend to the annoyance of his girlfriend Andi.
Of course their attraction becomes the main focus of the story.
It's a great read, suitable for NA readers and above due to content (sex, violence, abuse).
Note to author, please write more detail!

This is the first time I have given Bella Jewel anything other than a glowing review.

I found this book hard to get into, and found I skipped parts ... which is absolutely unheard of with Jewel's stories.
I really enjoyed the 'then' parts, and found them quite gripping. It was the 'now' bits that didn't hold my attention.
I found Pippa annoying and too naive. What 15 years old, who's lived the life she has doesn't know about sex, etc. I can't believe someone like that would blush so much. It's like she grew up in a convent, not on the streets, or on a slave farm.
Throughout the whole story it felt like she was 17 years old, and that's just creepy! She was way to immature to be with a MC member.

Sorry Bella, it wasn't a winner for me. It won't stop me reading your future books though. Looking forward to Belle and Max's story.

The title fits this book so well, we finally get to read Pippa's story as a slave and its harrowing saved by the club, in love with a man who doesn't see her strength of her courage. Pippa may be scared, quiet and timid but she's lonely and it was sad reading her like that, her family may think they're helping her but in reality they've stifled he loving out of her. Tyke really annoyed me, he may think he doing it for the best but all his actions did was push her away. Has he left it too late, you'll have to read to find out

What can I say about Jokers Wrath MC...I loved this series, Precarious, Melancholy, Anguish and now Desolation have made it onto my favourite list and will definitely be a re-read.

The fourth and final book in the series is more emotional as we see into Pippa's past as a slave and what she endures finding refuge and friendship with Rainer to present times as she deals with her fears and eventually unconditional love with Tyke.

Mmmm...Tyke now that's one biker who knows his way around words and that poem in the beginning...Le sigh. Although this is the end of the series there's been some new faces revealed and fingers crossed the next series of books aren't too far away.

Thank you Bella Jewel for yet another awesome set of books I can't wait to read more from you.

I've loved all these books but this one is probably my favourite. It was a fantastic story line, so sad yet left you feeling great hope, especially for folk who have something that they take for granted through their lives such as their health but when it's taken from you, you feel like you are broken and that no one is going to find you attractive again, so for Pippa and Tyke to find each other with their brokenness makes my heart happy. Definitely a fantastic read and well worth the pennies, looking forward to the next new books with Max and Raide, nice work Bella, thanks. X
