Having read the first two of his earlier books, I couldn't wait to finish this one and share my thoughts about it.
For those of us who haven't yet traveled through some of the states and for those who like to live vicariously through the travel writings of others, this book is refreshing and most interesting. This is a book that RVers, campers, travelers and non-travelers would enjoy. While it is written from the perspective of a British citizen, the description of various towns, cities and states are spot on - accurate and filled with interesting tourist type info and more. I think that the great details about his geologic, weather, flora and fauna observations are superb; this very observant man provides the reader with the feeling of traveling right along with him and his wife in their RV.
Having read his earlier two RV "adventures" books, I can truly say that I've seen so much more of the US from a very observant writer who sees the positive aspects of every aspect of his travels - sometimes we need someone "from abroad" to gently assist us in remembering what a great country this is and how very much there is to see and observe - people, places and things along the way.
Now I'm hoping that the author will produce another GREAT travel story and take his readers on another adventure through more states.
