it was enjoyable but you really have to suspend your disbelief. It is hard enough to get around the characters that would never exist in the real world, for example the man who apparently got through veterinary college yet is a complete Fing imbecile, but remember that fingerprints don't exist in this reality either... seriously though, how many people worked on this project yet NOONE even mentioned that, you know, perhaps wearing gloves might be a good idea. And yeah, don't rub your fingers all around a crime scene either.
Enjoyable film but wtf man the suspension of disbelief is too much. I just kept thinking to myself "why are they..." over and over. OH, and the film starts by giving you a question, aaaaaaand just so you know it does not get answered. So, yeah, just ignore that too.
Good acting and a genuinely funny story. If you like British comedy you'll like this. Easy to follow story. It has a really clever way of telling the story and keeping you in the loop. As the movie built up adding new layers to the plot it always reminded you of the previous layers that lead to the point it was currently at. If a new event happened, you got a refresher. If a new character was introduced, you got a refresher. These were paced throughout the movie great and i didn't even notice it until the second viewing because it was delivered seamlessly via the character interactions. So its really easy to follow if you want to chatter with your friends or family while it is on. It was really smart i thought.
Dialect is very strong southern English. Easy for me to understand as i am English but a few lines might go over peoples heads as its quite heavy. However the nods and comments to pop culture are universal and easily understandable for anybody.
Really enjoyed, it reminded me of the days before i got Sky and was spoiled for choice. When you would sit down and give a movie a chance because it was what was on TV at the time. And i am glad i gave this a chance.
