Now you can easily convert all of your favourite records to MP3 digital audio tracks with Denon’s DP-200USB fully automatic turntable. Equipped with an internal MP3 encoder, along with a front panel USB port, the DP-200USB lets you play your favorite LPs and create MP3 tracks easily and automatically. The included PC software features Audio Waveform Recognition, which checks the first 15 seconds of each track and searches the extensive Gracenote Internet music tracks database to capture the track’s meta-deta (artist, title, etc.). The software also features Auto Track Divide, which notes silent breaks between tracks and automatically inserts a new track tag for each track (you also have the option of doing this manually). The front panel USB port allows connection to a USB flash drive. In addition to the USB connection, the DP-200USB features conventional stereo outputs, which can be configured with or without RIAA equalisation, for full compatibility with the widest range of audio components.

And the auto track splitter is rubbish. It will get 90% of the splits rights but I've yet to have it successfully work on any complete album. There's always 2 or 3 tracks where the split is in the wrong place so if you have to spend time manually on some tracks what is the point.
I can't fault the playback quality although it would be nice if it automatically stopped recording to MP3 when the album stops playing but that needs to be stopped manually too. So if playback is number one then go for it but if conversion to MP3 is your main requirement then be prepared for the bells and whistles not to work as expected.
So after 2 years and a bit of research on youtube I came across this turntable the Denon DP-200usb.
Firstly it was so easy to set up and after I got it up and running the sound was so clear and crisp I swear you
be hard pushed to think it was a CD.
All my Vinyl came back to life amazing I sat up to 6:30 the next morning playing nearly every record I had.
Even through I have about 70 odd LP's and 50 odd Singles !!!
So if your stuck on what turn table to get this one is very good value for money at £112 used or £130 new.
I swear you'll be amazed on the clear crisp sound.
10000% better than Ion and Crosley (both of which we have) which are cheap and nasty toys that sound tinny and brittle in comparison. This has a magnetic cartridge. Cheapo's have ceramic ones which died out with the dinosaurs and sound terrible.
Plugs straight into regular Aux phonos (just like a CD player does) or has an EQ-off switch so you can plug it into your amps' record player input (if it has one...rare these days). Or you can USB straight onto a computer. Brilliant.
Only negative is slightly flimsy construction but if you want a really solid beast, I'm afraid you'll have to spend over double and get a Rega!
This is a great turntable. Very well made and affordable.
Its easy to use and well laid out. Phono connection to your HiFi(no pre-amp). Disc size and 33/45 switches on the top surface. Power, record, start, stop and USB socket on the front.
You can't record directly to your computer but its a easy two step process. Record your vinyl to flash drive via the USB (keep this as your back-up). Remember to separate tracks by pressing record stop between songs. Then plug the flash drive into your computer and export direct to iTunes. Denon supply full editing software disc but I didn't need use it.
