`Manchester is the Capital of Football, a title that thrills Denis Law, who served the forward lines of United and City with such distinction. He enjoys the edge, the rivalry and particularly the high quality of football flowing from two famous sides... As he talks, Law flicks through his beautiful new book My Life In Football, his eyes lingering on that wonderful photograph of him and Best, stripped to the waist, running hard during pre-season training at the Cliff' --Daily Telegraph
'I AM THE LAW: Every picture tells a story in the life of a footballing legend' --The Scotsman
'Denis Law, aka The King, one of a tiny band of British players to have been crowned European Footballer of the Year, is now in his 70th year, though the image of him in full flow is burnished upon the consciousness of those of us lucky enough to have seen him play' --Birmingham Post

The truth is, he was brilliant and we all knew it and, as I grew older, I also came to appreciate the real character of the man.
This is a wonderful book. It's a very easy read, with Denis telling anecdotes with every picture, alongside comments from players he both played with and against, all of whom clearly hold him in the highest regard. And, as Sir Alex Ferguson relates, Pele once said that Denis was the only British player who might have made it into the Brazil team. That's how good he was.
