Gods, how I love a well written PNR story and Jessie Lane has given us another fantastic read in the Big Bad Bite series with The Demon Who Loved Me. Though some of the scenes in the first half of the book crossed with Walk on The Striped Side, the second book in the series that was Gage and Elena's story, it never lost my interest and it was entertaining to see what had happened in that book from another character's POV.

The Demon Who Loved Me was funny, hot, engaging, had a touch of mystery & some crime solving and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Neither Kent nor Chloe were looking for any kind of serious relationship, hell, our heroine wasn't looking for anything from a member of the opposite sex having been let down previously.
The chemistry and attraction between this pair was obvious to them both from their first encounter (which we saw initially in WoTSS) and watching our heroine try to avoid, outsmart and one up the demon who was/wasn't stalking her (you can make your own mind up on that one!) was entertaining.

I love Gage and Elena (and I'm totally on board with her very rational fear of spiders!! ;) ) but if I'm being totally honest, I would have liked just a little more time with Kent and Chloe together, getting to know each other (and not only in the biblical sense!), as at certain points it didn't feel that this book was totally theirs - which very possibly had something to do with there being so much going on in the story arc / timeline crossover between stories - but in saying that, none of that dampened my interest or engagement in the book.

Ms Lane gives us fun storylines, smoking hot sexy times, likable and amusing characters and these elements all add up to a really great read that I would most certainly recommend. I cannot wait for more in this fab series!

The Demon Who Loved Me is the latest instalment in one of my favourite paranormal series. It’s been a long time coming but was well worth the wait. Kent is a demon who has spent his life ignoring pressure from his family to take his rightful seat at the Ninth Circle Council. He lives his life on his own terms as a SWAT Team officer & is steadily working his way through the female population in Wilmington. He is content with his life until one day a rash bet he made with Chloe Demos comes back to bite him.

Chloe is the oldest of the Demos sisters. After her mother’s death, she finds out that she & her two sisters are actually descended from ancient Amazons and decides it’s time to stop acting the part of the empty-headed bimbo and use her intelligence working for the family detective firm Amazons Inc Her first step is to clear her new sister in law of the trumped-up murder charges she’s facing at the hands of the Demon Council which is where her bet with Kent comes in. In order to fulfil his side of the bargain he has to take his place on the Council. There is plenty of chemistry between Chloe & Kent and the sparks definitely fly. Neither are looking for a relationship of any kind, however who are they to fight against fate.

This book does cover some of the action from the previous novels in the Big Bad Bite series but it was interesting to see it from different perspectives. The plot moves at a steady pace with lots of humour with a hint at upcoming heartbreak for some of the characters. The confrontations between Chloe & Kent are definitely hot. The family dynamics between Chloe & her sisters are realistic as well – Chloe doesn’t miss a chance to wind them but God help anyone else who tries to hurt them. I read this book in one afternoon but this is a series I will happily read again while eagerly awaiting the next instalment

Been waiting forever for this book to come out. Chloe may be brassy but very vulnerable underneath and Kent has met his match. I enjoyed Chloe's point of view as we recapped from book 2, gave more insight into her character. Kent is one hot demon who knew what he craved deep down but trying to convince a stubborn Amazon, well not an easy task. Great plot, twist with Gage and Elana which is heartbreaking unless some creative writing is carried out. Looking forward to the next book, and desperate to find out about baby sis Delta. Loved it.

Again the storyline leads us on to want to buy the next episode in this engaging series but it was disappointing to have the first third of the book rehashing book 2 using same descriptions from Chloe and Kents viewpoint. This left frustration that the plot only got 50% of the book forward in further actions of our characters.
