I give this collection 5 stars. But dark stars, full of hate and bloodlust, burning in an ebony night, where the great ones lurk and the old gods await...

I have to be harsh because, though it's well-formatted for an eBook, there are significant errors. 1) As another reviewer has noted, the first sentence of the first story is absent. Given this is a Lovecraft story I've not yet read I'm disappointed by that. 2) The very last word of The Case of Charles Dexter Ward is also absent. This is a favourite of mine, so I know what it should be, and whilst it can be easily guessed by those new to the tale it nonetheless robs the story of its final impact. 3) The auto-generated table of contents available from the Kindle menu (this is on my iPhone) is incomplete, stopping around The Lurking Fear. If you want to voew the rest you'll have to go back to the cover and flip forward through the pages to the book's own contents page.
I got this for free while on offer so can't complain too loudly, but I wouldn't recommend paying anything until these issues are rectified.

As the other reviewer pointed out the first line of the first book is missing. However, everything else seems to be in order.

This is a classic treatise by a French aristocrat who comprehensively examines the underpinnings of American democatic institutions. Including the rights and powers provided by the Consitution, forms of governments, and concepts of freedom and equality. In this book he also analyzes the influence of democratic values on intellectual movements, customs and political society.
