Dickens is the kind of author who manages to find exactly the right word for pretty much everything, just like Shakespeare and Stephen King, I can read his work, even when it's about nothing. Just the way it is put together is just fantastic. The stories themselves often deal with the harsh realities of English life at the time which is refreshing considering most of the other stuff available. The only thing I can say against some of them is the endings. That of Bleak House just didn't seem right, and Great Expectations is a cop out. Having said that, the journey is great. The characters are often unforgettable and are fully realised and rarely uncomplicated.
Onto this collection. I haven't started reading it yet, but I am seriously impressed by what I've seen. It is not merely a collection of his novels. It has EVERYTHING. Even biographies and non fiction works. This is less of a collection and more of a study of his life. Really, this is the only Dickens ebook you'll need. I haven't forgotten about my physical books, they will be read, but I'll keep them at home and read this one on the move.
This is so frustrating. Delphi obviously mean so well, and if they'd just gone that extra mile this could have been a real winner.
Delphi please read this and put out an update as soon as possible.
The product appears on the Kindle as a single volume containing all the books. Maybe it would have been better to present it as a Kindle "collection" because you have to learn how to navigate the enormous volume. I noticed from other reviews that one or two people were having problems navigating so here's how I did it ..
Enter the volume from the home screen
press Menu and Go to ...
table of contents
use the 5-way controller to move the hand cursor to the title required and press Select (middle button)
press Select again to "follow link"
this gets you to the start of your chosen book. I bookmarked it at this point (from Menu) to make future navigation simpler.
I repeated this for all of the books and now have bookmarks at the start of all of them. Hope this helps.
If you like Dickens then this is a must buy. I have now read Bleak House on the Kindle and found it every bit as satisfying as the other books I have previously read in paperback format. By the way, Bleak House is a misnomer .. it's not bleak.

Very interesting and enjoyable.
Dickens tells a wonderful story sometimes sad but intriguing and absorbing.
