I noticed something wrong with this laptop when I booted it up for the first time. To start with it was incredibly slow and for the amount of money spent I expected something fast. I gave it a chance though as I figured maybe there's more for it to process at this point and it'll be great once I start using it properly.
Once booted up I then noticed that whenever I clicked there was a delay - sometimes it took 10 seconds to acknowledge the click, most times it was around 4-8 seconds average.The mouse moving was jittery occasionally too.
I got this laptop for both gaming and work purposes and so I decided to install some games onto it, see what it was capable of. I had various games that are a few years old now, but a normal Windows 7 and Windows 8 laptop, plus a Windows 10 budget computer handled them with no problems.Really this laptop should handle it. Unfortunately, whenever I booted a game it would start up for a second, then immediately closed it. (Changing the compatibility settings did nothing).
After contacting the company they stated it 'may' be a graphics card problem and I should contact Dell support. In my mind if it has gone wrong from the start then what if something goes wrong in the future? It's too much money to go chasing shadows or take a risk, and so I went for a refund.
It's a shame because this laptop had so much potential and looks really good.
