Product description

About the Author

Thomas Corriher and Sarah Corriher are refreshingly honest, which often means that they are hated by both sides equally. They have produced a plethora of media throughout the past seven years, including audio shows and the documentary, "The Cancer Report". There is a significant upswing of interest in alternative medicine; but the authors convey that most of the related media is lacking in quality, integrity, facts, and scientific principles. They express that there has been something of a self-perpetuating cycle, wherein alternative medicine has been somewhat commandeered by the pagan religions. Not only do the authors provide a message of hope, but they show that true religion and true science are not enemies. The Corrihers spend most of their time freely providing advice by e-mail and telephone from their humble home in North Carolina. Thomas lives with his wife Andrea, his teenage son Zachary, and his adopted daughter Sarah, who is the co-author. Neither Thomas nor Sarah has time for a social life anymore, but they have found their work to be immensely rewarding. The line between friends and fans has become blurred over time. The best way to learn more about the authors is to listen to their audio shows, because they hold nothing back.

A lot of the things in the book I'd read before but there were some things that were new. On the whole I thought the book was very informative and I love the writing style. The explanations of what we should and shouldn't eat were enlightening and strangely amusing in that we hadn't thought about the concepts in the light posed by this writer - there are a number of things that we won't eat again consequently. It just makes so much sense. Everyone should be aware of the falsehoods spouted by doctors (who are no better than drug dealers). Your health could well depend on the knowledge derived from books such as this one.

These guys are on the right track. This is a valuable book generally.

Nobody is going to get everything perfectly right all of the time.

It offers logical solutions. Does that deserve condemnation?

Through much experience over time I can say that a lot of what the authors write is going to help you. Far more than general mainstream information can do at times.

One particular aspect of their information is how to maintain the body to prevent disease etc. at low cost. The Orthodox medical industry does not know the meaning of low cost. And quite a few natural therapists don't either these days.

These guys expose the extremely selfish behaviour of the dictatorial medical establishment when at its worst. They are matter of fact and do describe things in a strong way. That does not warrant throwing the book out as useless. Best to ignore colourful comments and look for the gems in something and this book contains too much valuable information for everyone.

With respect to the subject of vegetarianism - our digestive systems are still at the hunter and gatherer stage of evolvement. It may be found that certain comments the authors make are designed to wake us up with shocks. That's often what we need to widen our circles of thought on many subjects. If things are said that are not the same as your outlook, then they can be glossed over if you are adamant about your viewpoint.

The vast amount of helpful advice generally is what makes this book worth having. If it contributes toward people recovering from serious illnesses at a fraction of the orthodox cost, and with little to no side effects, then for heavens sake don't throw it in a corner. It needs celebrating despite the odd weak spot it may have.

I can only give their book 4 stars, as it came quickly and was in good condition. A good read till you hit the parts where they generalise various methods as quackery (latter part of the book) and they do this quite strongly, which is a shame. Criticism needs to be unbiased and professional. This is how I was taught when I did my degrees and PhD. Showing anger (can almost feel the anger jump out of the pages) and forthrightness in your writing in what's supposed to be a factual book is unprofessional. To be a healing book one must keep prejudices to oneself. Sadly this does spoil a rather interesting book! However I managed to read the whole book without becoming infuriated with the word 'it' that seems to splatter most pages in books today! Would I recommend this book to my students, yes, but only because my students are intelligent enough to overlook the parts that are biased!

What these two have done is collate information that is widely available and in the public domain already and presented it as "The Gospel according to them"!
They slander many natural health doctors because they "make money" from their products (Jealousy maybe?).
Are they making money from the sale of this book?

They seem to know everything about everything including the manufacturing standards of health laboratories they have not been in!

As a fervant supporter of natural health and opponent of pharmaceuticals I would advise people to look elsewhere for natural health info without the authors' bias presented here.
To pronounce that transdermal application of magnesium is worthless is patently untrue and there are hundreds of published papers from around the world as to it's positive effects.
Their answer for magnesium supplemenatation? Eat Spinach! While I have no doubt that greens are good for us,spinach inparticular is difficult to obtain sufficient nutrition from and when cooked loses most of its nutrients.

While there is a lot of truths in this book, the truths come from others and have been entered into this work by the authors ...to me they just come across as having a chip on their shoulder about something.

The final straw for me was that they claim that vegetarianism is an "evil cult"!
Anybody who uses this sort of language says more about them than somebody who chooses to abstain from eating flesh.

Some reviews say that this couple are quack's.
I don't agree as most of the information seems logical.
I strongly disagree with their comments about Saint Paul and very strange to include in this book.
