after picking up a sample of The Thief's Gamble in a bookstore in Edinburgh i was hooked. I wanted to follow Livak and her friends and there adventures. Now we come to the final book after 14 books i wondered how is this author going to end this, well i aint going tell you your going to have to read it from the beginning. but how she brings all the various magic's together is amazing. Planir the Archmage plans everything to save the world and destroy those that threaten all that is good once and for all Jilsith and Corrain Hosh and Lady Zurenne all have there parts to play in the final days
I put Juliet E Mckenna up there with David Eddings, Raymond Feist, Hobbs,George RR Martin and Tolkien

Format: Paperback
In this final volume of the Hadrumal Crisis trilogy Juliet E. McKenna does a masterly job of weaving together the threads of the stories not only of the previous two books in the trilogy, but of the previous 14 volumes of her Einarinn novels, bringing them to a immensely satisfying conclusion. She answers many of the questions readers have been longing to ask, but not without stimilating the development of a good few more - enough to make readers hope for yet more answers to come. Those who have not read the earlier books would benefit from starting with Dangerous Waters (and will probably end up wanting to go on to read the earlier books in the series) as they will then get the benefit of enjoyin the care and craftsmanship with which earlier events are interwoven, but there is enough action and tension in the book to make it worth reading as a stand-alone.

Having followed Juliet's writing for quite some time I was a little apprehensive about reading this book as I was wondering how so many of her threads were going to be rapped up as well as answering a fair few of the loose ends that I've wanted dealt with before.

Add to this a novel that doesn't let up, has great pace as well as characters that I'll be sorry to see the back of and all round it was a book that I was more than happy to spend my time with. Thank you Juliet.
