This book starts where Disbelief left off so if you haven't read the prior books please do to fully enjoy this book.
This is perfectly twisted. Freya is seen as quiet and weak in the first 2 books but oh my were we wrong. After a massive mess up (that's rrreeeaalllyyy tame for what he did!) on Viktors part Freya snaps and shows us the mob boss's daughter she really is.
Deceit, lies, death and manipulation are just the norm for this family.
Smith has a knack for ending her books that completes the story but leaves you hanging wondering about the next. I am sooo looking forward to Anton's book.
If you like twisted, dark romances grab this series.

Well established characters from the first two books, this time it's Freya and Victor story. If I was Freya I wouldn't forgive them, they betrayed her and left her with traffickers by order of her own father. I would have left and started a new life elsewhere.
The storyline was good and engrossing. Anton again hilarious but cruel to use her friend.
Brilliant writing again.
Tl Smith delivers!

I cannot think of a better title for this book its the perfect title. 'Defiance' is exactly what we get. From a woman pushed too far to someone who you'd least expect it from, and the repercussions that come with it.

I absolutely loved being back in the world of the Smirnov Bratva with the dark and delicious men that we have come to know and love.

All cold, ruthless and powerful men with women who are just as strong and powerful in their own way.

First Kazier and Elina, then Death ~sigh~ and Polly, and now...

Viktor and Freya.

Complete opposites who couldn't be more perfect for each other, they learn to skirt along the very thin line of love and hate.

"She's the opposite of everything I am. Where I'm quiet, she is loud. Where she is open, I am closed. I didn't understand her, but I knew I'd protect her with my life".

I loved watching Viktor and Freya's relationship grow throughout.
Love, hate and everything in between TL spares no expense.

She sure knows how to write a bad a** b*** of a heroine, and Freya is that 110%!!!!!

"I'll kill every last f****** one of them. Making them scream, just the way I was taught and what's more is I will revel in it."

I love her. Absolutely love her!!! She was fiercely strong, took no s*** from anyone and all round bad***. She really gives the men a run for their money, that's for sure.

I adored this book. I really did! Hooked from beginning to end, I was not ready for the last page.

TL never fails when it comes to writing all consuming books which make you completely switch off to reality.

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Again….TL has done it again.
I have so much love for her and her writing hand.
I have read everything TL, and again she has given us another perfectly executed read that I couldn’t put down.

In this instalment of the Smirnov Bratva Series, we get to meet at length Viktor and Freya. Although we know them both from the first two novels which touched on their characters briefly, Defiance is their voice , their story….And let me tell you, it’s explosive.

Forced together by marriage, Freya and Viktor are left to deal with being united when it’s the last thing they want to be.
Ordered to be married by Kazier, they don’t have a choice.
Freya…What a firecracker. She has sass, class and a mouth to match.
Viktor. Strong, fearless, family always comes first.
These two together….It’s bloody, raw, dangerous and downright humorous.
A marriage that is likely to be destroyed by their own hands.
A union that is likely to be ruined…..And why?
Because they love and hate each other……And that’s the problem.
There is always such a fine line between both of these emotions.
Which way will they fall?

Guys read this. I can’t tell you how much you need this in your life.
Gruesome, deadly, stomach churning, hilarious, seductive, heartbreaking, deliciously naughty, breathtaking, it has it all.
You also get to be re-united with Kazier, Anton, Elina, Death, Poppy, Angelina and a new edition to the family.

A must read.

I love Freya. She is this amazingly strong woman that grew up in the male dominated mafia wold. The expectation is that she will marry someone from a rival family for the power it brings her family which shapes how she is raised but she still finds herself in this world of chaos. When she meets the Smirnov brothers, she surprises them with her fire, she doesn't cower. When the original marriage falls through, she is told to marry the second in command, Viktor. She has been attracted to VIkto from the first time she saw him but he's less than thrilled at the news which shakes her foundation. Viktor can't believe he has to marry, he's never thought about marriage and doesn't see this as something for him. When Freya pushes back against her families wishes, Viktor and his brothers are ordered to essentially sell Freya, aka human traffic her. This gutted me, I get this crazy world has rules I can't even imagine but to me, this was the lowest of lows. As all of this unfolds, Viktor is forced to acknowledge that he does have feelings for Freya but has too much damage been done between them to salvage a relationship. Once again, T.L. Smith has taken me into this crazy, twisted mafia world and found ways for me to like these challenging characters. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
