Most of the content of this book is also in her other book so don't buy it without checking. the sections, the text and the diagrams are more than 90% identical. There are areas where the highlighting is better in the older (more expensive ) book and the content is great but who needs two copies of the same book.
It is extremely disappointing that the advertisment does not acknowledge that one is merely an update of the other.

3.0 out of 5 stars buyer beware!!! 10 Aug. 2013

This is actually a spectacular book, in fact it should get 6 stars instead of 5. However, I gave it three stars because this is the exact same book, I mean page for page identical to Anja Beran's "Classical Schooling With the Horse in Mind". So after reading that book first ( which is by the way half the price of this identical book) I wanted to read any other books she had and found this book which had a different title so I naturally assumed it was a different book but sadly it is the same book.

I still recommend reading this book because it is a spectacular work on classical dressage, just save yourself some cash and get it under the cheaper title.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Equestrian Book Ever!!! 24 Nov. 2011

A truly amazing book that has helped me so much with my not so talented horse that is now starting to look a more relaxed and happy about his work. Beauty is what beauty does and you won't find beauty with tension. This book shows you how to eleminate every brace in the horses body.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent text in this book 6 Aug. 2015

Excellent text in this book, to go along with the videos which are also very wonderful!! There are also amazing photos worth mention. The book focuses on the horse and ideal conditions for horse and rider which are not always practical for the average human considering horse riding and ownership. This practical, sound, historical and scientific information is backed by loads of experience passed down for hundreds of years and should absolutely taken into consideration with keeping the horse in mind. There are wonderful specific training diagrams showing how to correctly apply aids, shedding light on what the rider does as opposed to focusing only on what the the outcome of the aids should be as seen in the horse. The breakdown of the book is amazing and helps in a practical applicable sense as well as a historical sense. There is also raw descriptions of how training techniques have been misinterpreted in modern training. This is a must for anyone wanting to learn more deeply about true and real horsemanship, or for early horseman to consider when embarking on a most wonderful experience with a horse.
