This was a useful insight into the process of criminalisation in Northern Ireland, and would be suitable for someone with little or no previous knowledge of the subject. Various charts show the statistics that the commentary is based on, and interview transcripts are included in the last chapter. It seems to be written more from a sociological angle than as a legal analysis. Also, unlike a lot of factual books, this has a relaxed style that makes it enjoyable to read.
