Style Name: Standard Edition
Persona 5 is a game about the internal and external conflicts of a group of troubled high school students - the protagonist and a collection of compatriots he meets in the game's story - who live dual lives as Phantom Thieves. They have the typically ordinary day-to-day of a Tokyo high schooler - attending class, after school activities and part-time jobs. But they also undertake fantastical adventures by using otherworldly powers to enter the hearts of people. Their power comes from the Persona, the Jungian concept of the "self".
The game's heroes realize that society forces people to wear masks to protect their inner vulnerabilities, and by literally ripping off their protective masks and confronting their inner selves do the heroes awaken their inner power, and use it to strive to help those in need.
Ultimately, the group of Phantom Thieves seeks to change their day-to-day world to match their perception and see through the masks modern-day society wears.

Graphics are amazing, great cutscenes and due to the time limits, it's realitively easy to play in short periods of time if you dont have 10hours at a time to play.
Just keep in mind, it may not appeal to more western RPG players due to the sim aspect and longer periods in between chapters. You do not advance as soon as you complete a dungeon, rather after a period of in-game days/weeks.
I remember the Take Your Heart edition being announced and I had to have it. No regrets at all! The bag is spacious and gorgeous, the artbook is lovely and Morgana sits next to my P4 Teddie.
The game itself is incredible as are the characters, art style and soundtrack. Lots of fanservice and JRPG goodness. Character development is fantastic and the Persona games do a good job making believable characters.
You love and hate them. You find a personal connection. I did with Futaba. A socially awkward shut in who loves gaming, hacking, figures. Shes me and I cried at her development as a character.
Persona 5 had me in tears of both sadness and happiness. This is the game JRPG players and PS4 owners need in their collection.
If you play on any difficulty above "normal" you can easily get 1-hit by bosses, this can be avoided if you know the attack is coming but this isn't always possible the first time you face that boss, resulting in a lot of game-overs.
Your first playthrough will take approx 80-140 hours depending on the difficulty you choose, and you'll be looking at doing 2-3 playthroughs to get all the trophies/etc. Besides the fact that the story is good enough to not bore you on additional playthroughs.
Overall an excellent game with good variety.
Have 40 hours and can`t stop playing. Normally I don`t write reviews but this one deserves the praises.
