To be honest I was disappointed and felt fooled by the title. As a fan I found the interviews interesting, but it wasn’t what I expected.
Only downside is that the cover could mistakenly persuade the casual browser that this DVD set contains the actual music album.. as per the blu ray audio which has a similar front cover.. it does not.
back in march last year, the boxset contained 4 Discs plus 1 DVD plus Hard cover book and other stuff
well the record label that released the boxset decided to re-issue the DVD from the boxset seperatly in December 2014
which is Great for Deep purple fans that only wanted the DVD
instead of having to pay over 15 or more for the super Deluxe boxset just to get the DVD
so you can now buy it seperatly
for me i'm a big fan of Deep purple of course
but i already have the 2014 reissue 2 Disc Deluxe edition CD of Made in Japan anyway
so it wasn't necessary for me to pay the big cost for the boxset which is all just a Marketing Gimmic by the Record company
anyway, luckily for fans who just want the DVD from the boxset, it is now available to buy seperatly
ok first of all this new Doco is nothing like the Rock milestones Made in Japan dvd from years ago
the Rock milestones DVD was terrible waste of money cause it's a 60mins Unauthorized Documentary
about the Made in Japan album from the comments of Journalists, music critics, etc
there were no interviews with the band members themselves
this DVD Documentary from the super Deluxe box set is fantastic, it goes for 88mins
and its seperated into chapters on the Menu which you can play continously anyway
i played the DVD continously this is what you get
1st chapter is the Rise/Demise of Deep purple mark II plus Made in Japan retrospective
and some comments about the Who do we think we are album when the band had split,
it's starts from the InRock album right through to the Who do we think we are album, goes for 60mins exactly
all new recorded interviews with...Read more ›
