A thoroughly unsatisfactory 6th album from Molly Hatchet saw yet another round of line up changes with Steve Holland(guitar) & B B Borden (drums) leaving to be replaced by John Galvin(keyboards) & the return of Bruce Crump(drums),sadly it would be the introduction of Galvin that would have the biggest impact.

Despite the excellent remastering on this disc it only highlights how insipid and uninspired this disc is,the band went full tilt for commercial acceptance and turned out a series of sub standard tracks. Dross like 'Backstabber','Man on the Run','Straight Shooter are 3rd rate 38 special rejects,Galvins influence palpable with pathetic zz top soundalike synths.

All this combined with tired cover versions of 'Heartbreak Radio/I Aint Got You' enough to make you weep, only 'Satisfied Man' & 'Stone in Your Heart coming any where near pass marks. The only genuine class moment being the final track 'Song for you' by Hlubeck,a travesty that something as good should be left on this disaster of a disc.

My first Hatchett purchase many years ago and though its been slated by some its a good intro into some of their more widely known and appreciated works. Who cant spill beer to " and she does... ?"

This was the album when Molly Hatchet finally pulled everything together - big songs strong on power and melody with excellent production values. Some may yearn for the older albums with their tired blend of rock'n'roll and southern country blues but on this album Hatchet came of age and pulled their sound to a new level. More heavy rock and commercial than earlier attempts, this gave ZZ Top a run for their money and easily outclassed the likes of poor pretenders like .38 Special and Doc Holiday. Stand out track is 'Stone In Your Heart' which is the perfect blend of power and emotion, but there are no weak tracks on this album.
