The 8ft x 4ft PVC goal is a great garden goal and flexible enough to build and dismantle to take anywhere. It is made from strong 1.5mm PVC tubing. With strong plastic net clips to hold the net in place when the ball hits it. It has a strong 5 ply 4" net which is treated to withstand all weathers. This product will provide hours of fun for the young football enthusiast and hone their skills for the big game.

The fault, I guess, largely rests with them but on inspection of the instructions there are some issues. In essence each part is labeled with a letter of the alphabet both on the part and in the instructions. All of these parts mirror each other on each half of the goal - so a `B' section forms the vertical upright pole on both the right and left sides of the goal. This is true except parts "F' and `G' which are exactly the same dimensions but are fitted in different positions on the right side of the goal compared to the left. Fitting these incorrectly caused the problem and the breakage. Giving these parts different letters would avoid the problem which is likely to occur if the instructions are not read in detail, something unlikely to happen with the eagerness to assemble the goal on delivery.
The goal is made of circular plastic tubing so is light and can be easily moved. Parts are in cases difficult to slot together, and even more difficult to get apart, so whilst the goal can be moved around the garden it's not really designed to be taken apart frequently. The lack of a carry case for the parts makes this clear despite the manufacturer's comment that it's designed to be taken apart. Reflecting the assembly problems, which reflect on the quality of the instructions, and perhaps the build quality, I can only give two stars. Moreover the design is very similar to an existing goal we have so I don't see much new here.
I've had a number of goals of varies sizes none this big but all have had terrible instructions, Hand on heart the instructions are the best I have had when it comes to constructing anything for the garden, poles are labelled which corresponds with the instructions.
My little lad of 9 is football mad, he will play football all day (sometimes on the Xbox), the goal is an ideal hight for him and his friends, just big enough, any bigger and it gets to easy to score.
The frame is a sturdy plastic that is not heavy so easy to move, I took it down on the beach in the back of my van for him and his mates.
It comes with three loop pegs to hold it in place, may need a bit more when the wind is really blowing.
Very pleased with our goal, I've spent more time in goal than I would like but that's only because my lad is enjoying uses it, and score a lot of goals passed his old man.
Utterly simple to erect, Mum did it in moments, she found it easy to sort out, the diagrams and lettering are clear and straightforward.
We previously had a smaller version but everyone is getting taller now so this eight foot high one should last us. It's great to have everyone outside shouting and enjoying themselves.
The goal is more than strong enough for boisterous family games.
Nothing more to say other than it is exactly what we hoped, well worth choosing - promising lots of fun for family and friends.
great for the garden, not so good as a moveable goal.
The frame needed some brute force to put it together. I was lucky and got it right first time, despite the imperfect instructions. That meant I didn't have to try and separate any of the parts, which, judging by other reviewers' experience, is just as well. Perhaps squirt some WD40 or dilute washing-up liquid on the joints before pushing them together?
So far, it seems strong enough for lightweight balls used by children. I'm not convinced it will cope with heavier balls kicked by adults but may well be wrong - I hope so!
Overall, unless the lower weight is important to you, I'd suggest buying a metal goal and accepting that it will probably rust in due course.
It's a really good product with a great strength to weight ratio; once assembled it is easy to lift and move to a different location (once you've remembered to pull out the ground pegs). My two are probably on the upper age limit for a goal this size but they are impressed with it and for younger kids the size is ideal. It made our old aluminium one look like something out of the Ark! I would think both the net and the frame will weather well, it looks a neat unit. Steve Riches, Northampton, UK.
