Read all seven books now in this series and I must say I felt this was the weakest storyline. I think Jaden's kindle books are quite expensive as the grammar is poor, also Jaden needs a new proof reader as soon as possible as the mistakes in the book are quite off-putting. I have books eight and nine on my wish list but will not be downloading them until they are a bit cheaper and with no mistakes.

Loved the first book in the series and obviously thought this would be more of the same but was disappointed the storyline was readable but having two of the main characters named so similar clay and Clint was just confusing and her partner drove me insane I wanted to slap him I wished she had ran away with the uncle

I loved reading this book, but as I have pointed out in the previous story, there are an awful lot of mistakes, I think the author should take a moment just to read it through, not sure if it's the publishers fault but it really needs to be sorted out. However the stories in all the series of books are brilliant, the characters great. One character especially sticks out, Mattheus, is his name lol, not forgetting our second lead character, Cindy, I have got quite attached to the both of them, however Mattheus is getting on my nerves, which is good, I just wish he would stop being a jealous muppet all the time, and Cindy needs to tell him properly how and what she feels about their relationship.
I am now on book 8 all the 7 books before hand have been brilliant.

Good story line, but plot far too obvious, the characters are far to OTT. People neither talk the way these characters do, nor are there so many weird people doing stupid things in one small group. Totally unbelievable fantasy. Having said that the stories (I have read 3 but will not be reading any more) keep you reading to the end just to see if you had guessed correctly who done it. Usually I had! But at least the author had a go so top marks for that. I shouldn't criticise as I could not have written one. But I do like something a bit more plausible. Teenagers would probably love it!!

I find that I keep reading this series as I want to find out what happens next. I do like the stories, although some of the circumstances of the killers seem to be similar in different books. I immediately guessed who the killer was in this book. However I find the relationship between Mattheus and Cindy very irritating. In the first book that they met Mattheus seemed a totally different character to what he is later on. There's so much tension and jealousy that I really don't know why they stay together, Cindy's relationship with her husband seemed much more amiable. At this stage I almost wish Mattheus and Cindy would split up. Each book seems to be about them starting out together, falling out in the middle and then getting back together at the end to try again to make it work.

The story itself was good, creative. A number of turns had me re-evaluating who I thought may be the killer, as we all like to guess let's face it. My issue was the grammar and the repeated words or sentences in the book. There were times when I even re read paragraphs to ensure I was actually dealing with the same two characters. I'm sure that's more of an editing thing than poor writing, but as I said, the book was downloaded free for an afternoon reading. Mission accomplished, murder solved (very interesting), holiday to Aruba planned.

An attractive pair of smart private detectives, based in the Caribbean and solving crimes. Mattheus and Cindy are on vacation, getting close to each other personally, not as work partners. But when a beautiful young woman dies, they do get involved - was it suicide, was it murder? So far, so good. Unfortunately, there was far too much about the detectives working on their personal relationship. Slow. Bo-o-oring. Mattheus isn't an engaging character and it's hard to say why Cindy is even interested, though she is slightly wary. (Not wary enough, I'd say.) The working partnership, which was supposed to be so successful, was not much in evidence either. And focusing on the death itself, I couldn't warm to any of the characters involved, and the final dramatic solution was simply preposterous.

A disappointing read. Sloppy writing with many grammatical errors and in several places the wrong character was named. At one point the murder victim was resurrected! The plot was so weak that the outcome was obvious from early on. In fact it was so obvious that I read on hoping for a 'twist' in the tale but it didn't happen.
