Overall, I enjoyed this but need Cindy to become rather more solid as a character. At the moment she is a bit formless. Not sure what is missing but don't feel really connected to the characters.
On a different point I didn't think that this story was as wholly satisfying as the first in the series. It has a much more predictable nature and the story looses some if it's edge as a result. It's not a book that I would recommend to a friend although I might with the first book. Cindy as a character does develop but the raw edge that her personality had in death by honeymoon seems to have disappeared.
I won't be continuing with this series passed this book. How disappointing.
In this story Cindy got a desperate letter from her old school friend to help to find her missing husband, Cindy found herself back to where her own husband was murdered, but could she solve her friends case, this story is as gripping as the first, it's a good read and easy to put down and then pick it up again to know that the story is still in your head.
A little disappointing. If I could give the book a two-and-a-half star that would be a better reflection.
The plot was involved enough that I didn't spot whodunnit until towards the end of the book - and the romantic link with the Dutch detective promises much for the third in the series which I have yet to read.
