The book is quite good but is not that long and some of the recipes are quite a lot of bother to make but nearly everything I did make from this book was very tasty and I found all the more unusual ingredients I needed on Amazon so it isn't that hard to get the the things you need. I was disappointed there was no wheat tortilla recipe (only corn) but I found a good recipe online. The churros recipe was very good and the sauces are great too.

Brilliant recipes for delicious meals, but one heck of a lot of ingredients that I have no idea where to source... Could do with some guide on alternatives or at least where to buy them.

Also, I'm pretty sure the "pollack" recipe should read "pollock".

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, and we both love it. It is a very cool looking book to have lying around the house, and most people who come over comment on it.
Some of the recipes look a bit complex, with lots of ingredients. The recipes are all based on traditional Mexican food cooked in a more traditional way, so I guess that explains the long ingredients lists! There is something for everyone though, with some simple easy-win recipes in there too.
The illustrations make all the food look amazing, so I'm very much looking forward to my husband trying them out!

The beef ribs...a triumph! Cooked them both and the praise was enough to make me think of opening my own restaurant!
