Trudy Stiles, in creating this story, has proven without doubt that she is a master of her game. She has a gift that makes her reader feel every single emotion that her characters are going through. I felt every one of Tabitha's tears. I felt her pain, her doubts, her insecurities and her much deserved joy.
I fell completely in love with Alex. The gorgeous Alex, who adored Tabitha from the moment he first laid his eyes on her. I felt every one of his emotions too, and fell even more in love with him at how managed to forgive and understand the decisions that Tabitha made without him.
This is very much Tabitha and Alex's story, and along the way there were a couple of major twists that I didn't see coming. Throughout this whole book I was hoping with all my heart that Tabitha got the happiness in her life that she deserved.
In my opinion this is the perfect conclusion to this wonderful series.
A highly recommended read by a gifted writer. You'll be begging Trudy to write faster....I know I am!
Dear Tabitha is book two in Trudy Stiles’ Forever Family series. This book like the first is excellently written and covers very difficult topics in a respectful but informative manner. This story is a rollercoaster of emotion from the very beginning and I have to wonder if Trudy spent as much time crying while writing it as I did while reading it. Tabitha and Alex’s story is so full of raw emotion and angst that you couldn’t help but be drawn in and root for these people with all your heart, I definitely ugly cried reading this.
Such troubled characters written unbelievably well, Alex and Tabitha went through a lot of bad stuff throughout their lives and even after finding one and other they still had a lot to work through and sometimes they even hurt each other. However through it all one thing that remained was their love for one and other. This shows that if you want something you have to fight for it, things can be better and life doesn't have to be all bad, you can find happiness and heal from all the bad things in the past. My nerves were completely shot reading this book. I loved it, every single word of it drew me in it was heart-breaking, hope inspiring and everything in between. Absolutely amazing! 5 Huge Stars, more if it was allowed!!
This book is as excellent as the first. Trudy Stiles has covered difficult sensitive subjects with compassion and emotion and once again I was greeted with ia book that I very much struggled to pry myself away from.
Whilst we gained a good insight into Tabitha's life in 'Dear Emily', this book focusses fully on her and Alex. Told from both their perspectives, it once again covers past and present and we get to know them intimately as individuals and a couple. And the multi-shifts in time are flawless with no confusion at all.
Alex is an incredible young man with an admirable determination who I completely adored and Tabitha is strong, yet vulnerable. My heart absolutely went out to them both. Their history is deep, they have badly hurt one another and with the secret Tabitha has kept from Alex, along with additional content I didn't see coming, it was an emotional journey on every level.
Both are books I highly recommend and, whilst Tabby and Alex' journey was concluded, there is to be a third book focussing on a well featured secondary character. And I can't wait to read their story.
Trudy delivers a wonderful mix of flashbacks to Tabby's past through different ages, which is a great insight into what made her who she is today. I see her as a strong independent young woman who has a few cracks within her that people have given her along the way, she has a habit of falling into these cracks and struggling to climb out, but she does.
Alex though, he seems to fill those cracks in completely. So it is great that he is back from his tour, we get to go back into his past a little too and his is traumatic also......
A few surprises in this one which i loved. Beautifully written, it was touching and it did tug on my heart strings. What Tabby went through with Tony, well that made me sick, he was a vile sick, twisted pig.
The epilogue got me...oh, it got me.
Very much looking forward to Seth's story coming soon.
