Channing and Everly met a little over six months ago when his mother and her father decided to get married and their attractions has been bubbling under the surface since then. Channing is a little older than Everly and that has kept him away but when he finds a letter that she has written to him outlining how she wants him all bets are off and he will stop at nothing to have her forever.
Everly is in love with Channing and she decided that she wants to seduce him, she has it all planned out and shes a girl that knows what she wants and she is sick of always being the good girl. She wants Channing and plans on having him for as long as he wants her, she is hoping for forever.
Loved it .....
If you feel a stepbrother/stepsister relationship is too taboo for you, then I would avoid this although I do feel the title gives it away. Both characters are legal and there wasn't that constant 'daddy/older guy/little girl' thing which I noticed in one of her other books (And it drove me insane). Instead we have Channing and Everly. The story is told from their points of view and I loved that there was a little twist to this. So it wasn't just the 'dirty' stuff. I know some people hate insta-love but I don't feel it really was that in this book. These 2 characters just connected and it didn't come across that way although the professing love for each other kind of did. The story actually is pretty good which is why I went 4 stars with this one. I loved the thing with Everly's father and that we got some back history on Channing's dad too.
Over all for someone like me who tries to avoid novella's as they are too short and I struggle connecting with the characters. Dear Stepbrother, I Want You was a good read. I liked the story, the characters had a great, steamy connection and the ending felt right. I loved the HEA and it wasn't an over the top one. So, if you are looking for a quick read that has a lot of spark to it and is a little naughty, then I recommend this offering from Madison Faye. This short story is an angst free zone with a small helping of taboo; the main characters seem destined to be together and their smoking chemistry confirms it ..but of course there is always someone or something lurking in the background to try to rain on the MCs parade....
I have really loved following these quick and fun stories but for the first time I really felt that I would like to have known more about the characters.. I would have appreciated more build to the relationship and character development...there is plenty of action and pace but I would have preferred a bit more time for the romance and plot to evolve and thereby prolong my enjoyment...
This was a sweet, sexy and downright dirty afternoon delight... I received an advanced copy of this novella from the author
I’m sure many will enjoy this read, but it just wasn’t for me. I’m no stranger to erotica, but I want a story not just the skin-on-skin action. Although there was an attempt at a story, it wasn’t enough to keep me engaged. Rather than giving an actual story, it was all just background to the events. If this has been longer, it would have been somewhat interesting – instead it was a wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am of a story.
A lot of repetition without much happening, sadly it wasn’t for me. As I’m feeling generous, though, I rounded my one-point-five-star rating up instead of down, as I have forced myself through stories more painful.
A really great read, once started you won't be able to put this book down another great read by Madison Faye.
