Found a solution.....
on 12 January 2007
When I tired this in my dvd player it was painfully slow. It was nightmare having to scroll through the boxes one by one and waiting for a delayed reaction from the audience. The solution? Use the laptop! It was 10 times better. Audience reactions were in time of opening a box and scrolling was a breeze. I agree the game would be better if the boxes were all displayed on one screen and making a note of what you have used can be annoying. But I find this helps me compare games. I've found out that, so far for me, box No.14 always seems to have the higher numbers, but that can easily change.
Compared to other formats of the show like the board and hand held game, I find the dvd version seems to be the most realistic due to the setting being the same as the show and inputs from the host, banker, audience etc. But I don't own any other formats of the show so i can't certify that. But i'm happy with my purchase.
(P.S. I am aware that the purpose of a dvd game is to play it in a dvd player rather then a computer, but obiviously this has caused such a problem for so many people I've not objection if it works well on a computer instead.)
