i got a bit carried away browsing books and bought this after reading a sample of the first story. it was ok but things went downhill from there. the poetry was worse than the short stories, most of which at least had quite original themes, but overall the writting was mediocre and generally bland, leaving me feeling tired and depressed. after the first two poems i skipped the others, im not a poetry buff but this stuff seemed really poor to me. when i realised i was just plowing through the stories to get them over with i gave up on the book altogether. a lesson to me to take more time before buying, as this is one of the more pricey books iv spent on and compared to others, including many of which were free, its one of the poorer offerings.
