4.0 out of 5 stars Quick, Entertaining Read 30 Aug. 2013
By Michael Gallagher - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is an enjoyable, quick read with the classic western theme of good guy tries to track down bad guys, finds a girl / loses the girl / regains the girl, and the good guy matures and grows by the end of the book. While the main character is fairly immature and makes some really dumb decisions, if you like westerns and have about an hour or so to spare I would recommend this one as it was an interesting diversion to the genres I've been reading lately. At just 99 cents for the Kindle version, I don't think you can go wrong.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read 13 Oct. 2013

As I mentioned on previous reviewws I recently discovered this author, if you like westerns and want a relaxing and entertaining book to read, this authors works are all entertaining. I am a little older so I grew up with wessterns on tv and at the movies so they are of interest to me. Van Holt is a good read on all his books I have read and am working my way through his books and have read maybe a dozen to date and intend to read them all. Current TV is not real good but reading has taken over my entertainment dollar more these days, I recommend this book as well as all his others.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dead Man's Trail 27 July 2013
By Mary Romero - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is the second book I have read by Van Holt and have really enjoyed both and will be reading more. Tom Bannon searches for his brother's killers and on this journey faces many problems along the way. It is really a very good tale and if you like westerns, it's a good one.
4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Story Line 9 Oct. 2013
By Deacon Pete - Published on Amazon.com

Solving the mystery by going along the back trail. Clever device. Not a real deep mystery, but good entertainment with a reasonable ending. The cultural references were fairly entertaining and the hero healed in record time from more beatings at the hands of the bad guys than I could ever imagine possible. Fun stuff.
4.0 out of 5 stars A twisted ride. 1 Sept. 2013
By Geo - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Boy, what a twisted ride this novel was. At one point I was thinking, this kid never learns, only to realize he was planning his revenge all the way. Well written and a suspenseful trail all the way through. I enjoyed the book and so will you, especially the bazaar ending. Have fun.
