Despite what the sad Manc said in his eloquent review, this is a decent Brit flick shot on a measly budget. Plus, for such a small budget enterprise it has managed to rope in a few established names - Tom Bell and Samantha Janus to name but two. The acting is no worse than in Guy Richie's offerings and the settings and harsh brutality are sadly typical of the seedier side of most large cities. In short, if you're after a easy watch, British gangster film that does what it says on the tin, then I would recommend Dead Man's Cards.

Good preformance by James McMartin as the down on his luck exboxer. Not like the typical hollywood gangster type movie but more real life.

Loved it. Beats the hell out of all those Danny Dyer nonsense films :) Superbly shot and a clever and well written script.

Low budget and bad script, but I liked it. Some will find it rubbish but just go along with it, and take it for what it is. Everyone will have an opinion as I said I enjoyed it. This was Tom Bells last film before he died same year 2006.
