Sadly I have just finished Damien Boyd's latest book which is, marginally, the best of a gripping series of crime rampages through Burnham and surrounding areas. I say marginally because they are all brilliant and this one stands out by the really clever, plausible, and interesting way the plot wound around the canals and anals of local history, local characters and a wizardry of tempting snapshots of an area of outstanding beauty: the Westcountry of England.
Sorry, but the pressure is on: I hope Damien Boyd has his next book on the boil.
