The first time I used one of the bits, much of it came of, and that was using a combi drill....drilling into a joist with reisser screws... I knew straight away that these aren't very 'hard'.
If your normal bits are 3 hard, and your proper impact driver bits are 8-10 hard then these are about a 5 i would say. They just aren't upto the job
I would say they suit normal drill/driving, but nothing to taxing, then they would be ok. Say if you just wanted to carry around a few bits and a couple of bit holders, then this case would be fine.
You get one very long bit holder with a guard and a medium length one, so your able to get into small gaps which would be hard to access with the bit holder you got with your drill.
The case is good, it has one compartment at the bottom for the shorter bit holder, and the other bit would be held in the drill itself.
Overall it's good value if you need it for just some basic drilling bits, they would last longer than normal bits, but for it's intented use (impact driving), they are fairly abysmal.
Just spend a few pounds more and you'll be able to get far better quality and value.
update: the bits aren't as bad as initially thought, but still not great, the tip has completely come off, but thats not necessarily a bad thing, as it sits in the screw head much more comfortably, you really have to use exactly the right bit for the right screw, if your not careful a powerful impact driver could destroy a weaker screw head.Read more ›
The price of this set was very good and would recommend to others without hesitation.
