I bought mine for just under £130 at Screwfix and they are good enough value for money at that price. I would not have been willing to pay more though. The DeWalt 14.4v twin pack is around £200 (Screwfix again) and by far more capable than this 10.8v pack.

This impact driver is my first and a great little tool as long as you can put up with the noise I call it "the rattler". It is much less effort than a traditional drill/driver with no damage to screw heads and no need for heavy pressure behind the driver. I have driven a lot of 3 and 4 inch 8s and 10s with ease with this tool. I have been using mine with a Wera Rapidaptor and Wera extra tough bits. I find the normal impact driver bits shatter by far too easily and can be quite dangerous in that respect, especially if you do not wear safety glasses every time you use the tool.

I see reviews raving about the great battery life. It is not great at all. I have bought an extra 2AH battery to supplement the kit as I got sick of waiting on batteries charging (40 minutes) or having to swap battery between drill and impact when using for piloting before driving.

The drill torques out far too easily, but I was not expecting too much from a 10.8v battery. Drilling a series of 6mm holes in a heavy steel trailer had me opting for the corded drill instead as the bits were jamming far too often and the batteries could not keep up. To be fair, the little drill was getting a bit too hot to hold on to by the time I opted to use the corded drill and is still going strong despite the abuse. The chuck is a dream to use, making single handed bit change a breeze.

The LED lights are a definite plus when working in dark areas, especially on the impact driver.

These two subcompact tools, are among the best tools that I've ever own.
The batteries charge really quickly, the speed, power and versatility of both of the tools are excellent.
    I am extremely satisfied.

This is an excellent compact combination, for serious DIY or limited professional use, but now quite expensive at nearly £170, compared to the equivalent "Makita 10.8V Lithium-Ion Cordless Kit with Combi Drill and Impact Driver" for about £130.

I recently got mine for just under £140, but the price has jumped a lot since then.

I already had the similar DeWalt combi pair of impact driver and screwdriver, but really wanted the subcompact drill. This was the cheapest way to get it, with battery and charger, and the extra impact drill and battery are handy to have.

These are ideal for getting into confined and awkward spaces, such as inside small wall cabinets.

The impact driver is quite noisy, but makes it very easy for driving large screws, 3 inch x No 8, very easily, even in awkward positions, as there is little reaction torque and require little force.

The drill/screwdriver has two gear settings, but no impact drilling.

The battery capacity is quite small for heavy continuous use, but for normal use lasts many hours, and this makes it better for getting into small awkward spaces. It may be worth getting an extra battery to have on charge while using the drill and impact driver.

While expensive, I am very pleased with these, glad I got them and use them a lot.

These are by far the best drills I've ever owned. Even though they are the 10.8v drills they are powerful, but much lighter than the 18v drills, so easier to use. I use them for home/DIY use, not heavy duty trade use, but they are perfect for my needs, the batteries charge very quickly too, so waiting for a battery to charge is never a problem. I'd recommend these to anyone as you can feel the quality when you use these.

Got this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. Although you would think a small drill like this can't handle big jobs he has used this for everthing from motorcycle maintenance to replacing a window. Well worth the money

I write this in defense of the 10.8v as a number of reviewers compare this to larger voltages & jobs which are too big ? Of course this will give them problems but if you use them sensibly for what they were designed to do they are unbeatable. I have bought a couple of spare batteries which really are necessary but the capacities are clearly stated so the complaints about battery life are worthless.
My allotment is entirely raised beds full width, 3 planks high, 30ft long, 4ft wide plus my neighbour's (much, much bigger) . I have driven/drilled thousands upon thousands of screws/pilot holes for the verticals & joining pieces effortlessly. ( max screw 3" x 10, majority 1.5"/2"/2.5" x 8 )

I personally have no hesitation in recommending this equipment whatsoever.

I just ask that reviewers remember what the equipment is designed for.
