If you like a bit of variation in your life get this toaster. You never know what you are going to get, anything from slightly warm bread to a solid lump of carbon popping out. No need to touch the adjustment dial, it just makes it's own mind up. Also two separate levers to push down and start toasting but both sides pop up at same time, even if started at different times?!? The cable is very short. It just sucks. Buy a disposable lighter, you'll get better results.

The product looks nice until you get closer and realise it is mostly cheap plastic fascia.

As for the toasting capability (surely why we buy toasters) it is shocking. Firstly, it does NOT fit bread that isn't square eg. Warburtons will not fit, leaving the end untoasted.

Secondly, the toasting consistency is literally like playing roulette; some days it is old and some days it burns your toast.

Thirdly, the elements per slot are inconsistent, so whilst one side of the toast might be done ok (if you are lucky enough to roll a good chance for my point 2 above) the other side of the toast burns.

I am so annoyed at throwing away my old 7yr old rock solid Russell and Hobb perfectly consistent and fits 4 slices of warburton toaster, just because the wife likes the look of this more aesthetically!!!

The toaster arrived today as per the delivery promise date. The toaster was well packaged in a sturdy outer box and then it’s productpackaging. It’s a very large toaster I know it’s a four slice toaster but even so it’s larger than I expected. It takes up quite a big footprint on the counter top. I would suggest doing a few measurements before buying. Fortunately we have a large kitchen and it’s easy to fit it in. Firstly the design it looks a little retro with the circular regulator which we like. Also the facets on the front catch the light making for a very attractive looking toaster. It has a high gloss Finnish which should be easy to clean. The racks can accommodate both thin and thick slices of bread which is a must these days. The chrome pull down levers for the toast feel a little poorer quality to the rest of the machine. Saying that they are perfectly adiquate for the job. It functions really well as a toaster the settings allow the user to make toast to their own spec dark or lightly toasted etc. It has a defrost setting and a warming setting button . Haven’t used either and don’t think I will we tend not to freeze bread. As for the warming setting I can’t think why it’s needed, as I think if you try and heat cold toast it going to cook even more ?. To sum up a very well priced four slice toaster with a warming and defrosting function. It’s a very good looking design in m y humble opinion it does look a little more refined than a lot of others on the market. It functions perfectly well making toast quite quickly..I am very pleased with the design and function I would buy another if I needed to.

Broken, No Support Received

I bought the product, looks nice, worked on taking out of the box however very quickly came across issues. At first, if the heat setting was two or less the mechanisms wouldn't latch and cook. A week later the right two grills wouldn't latch at all and had a noticeable flash of a spark when you tried. The left side still worked and the toaster is only for two people so didn't make a fuss of it. After this, the toaster wouldn't latch at all unless it was set to max heat setting then manually canceled until eventually, it would not latch at all at any settings.
I contacted Amazon on Friday 25th October who agreed the product was faulty and stated De'Longhi would contact me Monday 28th October to resolve the matter. No contact has been received in any form and it is now two weeks later. Very disappointing.

An update on this toaster..it blew our fuses after a few months so we contacted Amazon and they were brilliant in exchanging the unit immediately. We plugged it in and it blew the fuses again. We tried at a neighbours house and it blew their fuses also. I’m returning it as I believe it’s unsafe.
I love this toaster. It looks great, it toasts great, and it takes a large slice of Warburtons which disappears within the toaster as it should. So many toasters today are simply not large enough for a modern slice of bread, but this one does with ease.
This toaster is simply brilliant.

This item broke within days and the customer service was appalling. Was Promised a replacement within 48 hours. After hours on the phone and online still no toaster more than a week later. Useless. Recommend you don’t purchase unless you’re attracted to unnecessary hassle aggravation and enjoy throwing your money in the fire.

I just love the toaster and kettle ! They look fabulous . Very easy to use . The toaster i "toasted" 4 or 5 times with nothing in to get rid of the chemical smell (as stated in the instruction manual). You dont need to have the setting very high to get your bread toasted, i have it set between 1 and 2. It is a larger item than i expected , however this isnt a problem , its quite chunky. Fingers crossed it lasts a decent amount of time . As long as its at least 12months id be happy to buy another.

Wew boought this to replace our other De'Longhi toaster which was 6 1/2 years old. What is disappointment esp at £63.08.
It feels cheep & plasticy. You can only set he toast setting for all 4 slices not per side as you could with the De'Longhi Icona CTO4003.R 4-Slice Toaster. The De'Longhi Brillante CTJ4003R 4-Slice Toaster is anything but brilliant in our opinion. .
