I totally agree with all the other reviews. Season 3 is the best season by far of Dawson's Creek, and this is thanks to the character of Pacey Witter. He is the best character in any season of Dawson's Creek. Mainly, I think, because he is the most believable. He acts the way most teen boys do. Dawson is just too girly and emotional. The chemistry between Joey and Pacey is fantastic, she just doesn't have the same chemistry with Dawson. I haven't seen the programme's finale yet, so I was a bit gutted to see a spoiler on here. But, I have to say, I am so pleased that they chose this outcome. It wouldn't have been right any other way. Dawson's may be a bit cheesy and sometimes unrealistic, but I love it. I just wish teenage boys as nice as this existed when I was at school!! Pacey's Creek Forever!!

Everybody should get their money ready for this release cause it's the best Dawsons Creek season ever. After Dawson revealed Joey's dad was still drug dealing, she can't forgive him. Drama, drama, drama and Dawson asks Pacey to look after her for him. Who would have thought the bickering two would end up getting together in the end? But it's great!! "i'm going to count to ten and then i'm going to kiss you. If you don't want me to then you're going to have to stop me...."

It's here finally. I'm afraid there are a few changes Kevin Williamson left and DC got a bit well...crazy? Jack's a football player, Jen's a cheerleader, I got sane and everyone else got crazy?! Well that's how Andie describes it. I'm afraid Andie makes a mistake and it results in a brakeup. But who would have guessed it, the bickering couple of the century get it together. Yes JOEY & PACEY! 'Im gonna count to ten ten and I'm going to kiss you, and if you don't want me to you're gonna have to stop me...' Pacey also makes the most romantic gesture ever, he buys Joey a wall! I think you may have to watch it to find out what i mean by it being a romantic gesture...
PS On the american website it says on the reviews that the theme tune has been changed. BEWARE.

This is definitely the best season of Dawson's Creek, at least from my point of view. In it we see Pacey and Joey make the move from sarcastic kind of friends to lovers. It's very different from when Dawson and Joey got together in that the tension is all the more acute this time around because of the whole love triangle scenario. Plus Pacey just rocks, and Dawson is a big cry baby, but that's just my opinion anyway i can't wait to get this so i can watch it over and over again, and i have three words to anyone who may be considering it, BUY BUY BUY!

Despite all the five star reviews, this is not the best season of the DVD release of The Creek. I can only guess that many of these reviews were written by people who have only seen the on-air show - which is different to the English language version in the DVD set ! Yes I know that sounds complicated and it is ! The change from the wonderful scripts of seasons one and two to a much less sophisticated approach is true for both on-air and dvd. However the contractual issues by which the music on the English language version of the DVD is different from that of the actual broadcast programmes means that you have a sub standard DVD release for Season 3. Ironically, if you listen to the French language version of Season three on the DVD you will hear the original theme music and also much more appropriate episode music. Take for example the song used for the opening few minutes of Episode One. In the broadcast (and foreign language versions) the song counterpoints first Joeys state of mind, then that of Jack. The music on the English language version is just there to fill in the space and makes no additional contribution to the show. What a great shame all this is. The good news, for those who purchased the box set is that things improve half way through the season and then get better with Seasons Four and Five. Even if Season Six is a bit hit or miss it is still 100% better than any UK attempts to do similar series and the final episodes are first rate. The script improves even if you have the same contractual problem preventing the "real" music from being used on the DVD right up to the end. The magic of Seasons One and Two is gone for ever but there is still much pleasure to be had once the nonsense of the first half of Season Three is over and Eve vanishes. Unless you are a real fan of The Creek none of my rambling will make any sense !!

well to start with this season is undoubtedly one of, if not the best season among the six seasons. with no anxiety of starting school (season one) or finishing school (season four) or more adult worries (seasons five and six) the creek kids get on with living their angst ridden lives with little troubles other than their own to worry about. slightly more polished and grown up than season two this season shows the characters at the most important years of their lives (any dawsons creek fans would probably agree)
but this season holds something extra for fans of pacey. fans that believe the series would have been better given a non character specific name like 'the creek', rather than 'dawsons creek' a name which frequently forces the writers to come back to the title character when really the show operates best as a 100% co-starring cast rather than one star and its supporting actors.
pacey is my personal favourite of the creek characters and in this season the writers really put him on the screen. been the first to have a serious high school relationship (with andie in season two) to havin the most intense, and possibly most grown up relationship (with joey in season four) and finally ending the show as the happily ever after couple (joey again in season finale), i believe pacey is more the heart of the dawsons creek relationship ethos rather just the comic relief dawson fans think hes there for. this season shows him first getting over his break up with andie, and then beautifully falling for joey in a well crafted and believable run of episodes. and in between the two pacey lights up the screen as undoubtedly the star of the season.
