Love, adventure, passion - just some of the infinite possibilities available to use during our life on this beautiful planet. However we choose to spend our time, our experience will be enhanced if our body-mind is functioning at its best.
Chronic conditions such as digestive complaints, lack of energy, brain fog, low mood, stress, burnout, and hormonal imbalances are commonplace. And statistics show that more and more people are succumbing to life-threatening conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and dementia.
It saddens me to witness so much unnecessary suffering because the fact is that all of these conditions are influenced by our lifestyle. Genes do not control our destiny; ultimately it is our relationship with our environment (food, emotions, lifestyle) that determine whether a specific gene is switched on.
Whilst not a panacea for every ill what you eat has a massive impact on your energy levels, your mood, and your overall health. I urge you to cut through the myths and propaganda surrounding food and do your own research to understand what enhances and detracts from your wellbeing. After experimenting with some externally-derived knowledge, connect with your own inner expert - your body - and let that guide you in your food choices. It won't fail you.
Move your body. It was never designed to be stationary.Dance, swim, or walk in nature, the opportunities for movement are endless and your body will thank you.
And then add some 'mind' practices such as meditation or mindfulness techniques in order to experience your own inner stillness. The quiet voice of your inner wisdom will guide you on your life path with greater ease and equanimity far more steadily than your conscious mind.
Such simple strategies - food, movement, meditation, stillness - yield powerful results. You will experience the joys and passions of your life path more fully.
Be well, live well
