This final instalment delivers punch after punch of gut churning dread as the past finally catches up with Jillian and Jackson in gritty fashion. And the past seems to have been nothing that they thought it was. Jillian is forced to face her darkest moments and learns that her life was even more twisted and littered with lies than she thought. Her life is in danger from a far greater threat than the feared drug cartel’s and the enemy within decides to play their final card but after she walked out on Jackson in temper who will save her.
Jackson is still trying to make sense of his feelings for Ryn and senses his new life is compromised but can he leave Ryn behind? He is forced to face the toughest decisions as the past finally knocks on the door and he realises that Jillian is in danger. My heart broke for Ryn, but I loved that Jackson had built up her confidence enough for her to stand up for herself in facing both her past and her future.
I really don’t want to ruin the story by saying too much but I loved that Jillian’s past came to save her, that the love between her and Luke was too strong for even death to break. And I am so in love with Luke Jones.
A fantastic end to this series that I would gladly read more of, I loved the epilogue, after the white knuckle ride of the last two books it left me smiling so much.
This final installment in Jessica & Jude's stories is satisfying and i enjoyed every second of it.
If you haven't read this series please do yourself a favour and pick up Book 1 'End of Day' right now!
“Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.”
I have to say that once I have enjoyed a series as much as I have this one I am always hesitant to read the last book just in case it doesn’t match up to my expectations and the pedestal that I have put it on. However, I needn’t have worried. The conclusion to the Knight’s tale is seriously EPIC and Jewel E Ann really delivers with an unputdownable suspenseful, angsty final ride. The Knight’s certainly go out with one unforgettable bang.
“Monsters were weak. Survivors were strong. Jillian was a survivor.”
This has to be one of my favourite romantic suspense series ever and Jewel E Ann perfectly dots all the I’s and crosses all the t’s as she pulls together the lives of Jillian and Jackson. This book is action packed with some unforgettable scenes that pull the past and present together in one almighty battle for survival. Jewel E Ann though perfectly balances this with the trademark wit and humour that have been prevalent throughout this series as well as delivering with a huge dose of romance that will have your heart melting. Well if she doesn’t crush your heart, she will melt it so whatever, you’ll have no heart left by the end.
“In so many ways the greatest love story of her life was not with Luke or AJ…it was with Jackson. He was the constant in her life. His love defined unconditional. Someday she would tell him…someday.”
For the first time ever Jackson and Jillian’s relationship is at breaking point, while their sibling bond will always be there Jillian cannot forgive Jackson for what he did, she needs space.Read more ›
The shadow that has been following Jackson and Jillian around seems to have finally caught up with them as they realise that their new, somewhat idyllic, life is now in jeopardy. Jackson needs to decide what to do with Ryn knowing that he has fallen in love with her. With her ex-husband still lurking he’s concerned for her safety and doesn’t want to leave her behind, but with Maddie still resisting the truth from Ryn, can he really ask her to flee with him and leave Maddie behind?
Luke, having witnessed Jessica’s resurrection is troubled and knows that he has to find her in order to find out exactly what happened on that fateful day. Despite his best intentions to look for Jessica alone, Lake is determined to help her brother locate Jessica and together they head into the unknown.
On the face of it, this series has been quite a complex read. With Jude and Jessica and Jackson and Jillian, past and present, readers have experienced a story that will have had them clutching at their hair and crying out in frustration as the story meanders throughout Knight and Day’s lives. Add into the story the addition of how Jude and Jillian’s parents play a part in their now secret lives and suddenly all becomes clear.Read more ›
