David worked for over 20 years with many of the great UK retail names in their Fashion Buying departments (including Top Shop, Debenhams, Burton Menswear, Dorothy Perkins, Berite) and then started teaching fashion business to both graduate and post graduate audiences. Writing withfellow authors - it is my intention to write books that are accessible and easy to read - especially focused on European fashion business in its international context. The fashion business is unforgiving and it is therfore essentia,l that every student learns how to effectively buy and market fashion at all proce levels.
Good Fashion buying and marketing is not simply about buying the most expensive designers, brands and products - but about giving consumers what they want at the right price in a way and place of their choice.
My books are dedicated to the many students I have taught over the years - long may they prosper.
