I adored Jordan and how she interacts with her Grannie. She has a lovely relationship with her. And then she falls in love with JT. This story is sensational and has a very solid grounding in reality!

I found this author, R. C. Matthews a very fresh and unique voice blending this Contemporary and Chicklit!

Highly recommended to readers!

Wow. A lovely story about love and family.
To have many dates under a request that her grandmother sees her married before she dies is a request that Jordan is more than willing to do. Her grandmother is a massive part of her life and she wants her to be there when she gets married too.
JT is Jordan's brothers best friend and has promised to look out on her dates to make sure they are suitable.
Jordan's grandmother listens to the details of the dates through both Jordan and JT where they laugh at some of men she's been set up with.
A must read to find out what happens.

5.0 out of 5 stars Humor, romance and a great story. 12 Sept. 2014
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com

The first part was so funny. I confess to laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes reading about the date that picked his nose and then did the pull my finger! Frankly, I so needed a good laugh after the last horrible 2 weeks.

I got a bit frustrated by J.T. acting like a jerk, but at least he realized it immediately and felt bad. I also got a bit ticked off at Jordan because I have a real issue with using another person to make someone jealous. Luckily, she did not lead Steve on too long. Jared (Jordan's brother) was a dick at one point too. Grannie, mom and Derek and Leah were fun colorful background characters. Overall, I would recommend it as a fun little humorous romance that most will enjoy.

Some quotes:

“By the way, do you guys ever wash underneath your tables?”
“Shut up!” Mike’s eyes widened to the size of half dollar coins. “He didn’t go fishing and leave some bait behind did he?”
“A fairly sizable one far as I could tell.”

This one had definitely failed to launch out of boyhood and into manhood. Pull my finger? Grabbing hold of the edge of the table, I carefully stood and made my way back to the bar. I definitely needed another drink to make it through dessert.

...recalling one of Grannie’s favorite quotes from Ernest Hemingway which she shared with me on my twenty-first birthday. “Always do sober what you said you’d do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.”

2.0 out of 5 stars Average At Best 23 Jan. 2015

The premise of the book had a lot of promise, but I don't feel that the overall book, as a stand alone book, delivered. It was very predictable, with no unique twists, no unexpected developments. The plot itself could have been fleshed out more, and the characters better developed. There were no surprises, nothing to make the story feel as if it wasn't the same plot I had seen in numerous other dime store romance novels. In addition, the constant switching of character perspective made it very difficult to keep track of whose thoughts I was actually reading, especially when the heroine would refer to her mother as Mrs. Billette. The book was extremely short - it only took me about an hour and a half to read the entire book. Overall I do not feel that I got a good value for either the time nor the money that I had invested in this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Date Night 5 May 2014
By Midnight Attic Reader - Published on Amazon.com

With an adverse medical diagnosis, Grannie sets about making her dream of seeing her granddaughter wed before she passes come true, and the scheme involves Jordon having biweekly dates through a dating service at the restaurant JT works at (Jordon's brother's best friend) so he can keep an eye on things for Grannie, but the dates are one disaster after the next and only serve to make Jordan and JT realize the feelings they have for each other. For once a story about a brother's best friend and the little sister getting together, but with no long standing crush on either side. It was really great to see two people with a long history as being strictly friends, begin to see each other in a new light. The difficulties of Jordan's brother's reaction, timing with regard to life plans, and other outside influences come into play and make things a little interesting. Great Read! I look forward to reading Jared and Leah's story in Fair Game, and I hope to see it out soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Date NIght (Wish Come True) 5 out of 5 stars 7 May 2014

Jordan and JT have known each other all their lives. JT is the best friend of Jared, and Jared is Jordan's older brother. When their Grannie is diagnosed with Cancer she wishes for Jordan to walk her through a scrapbook of preparing for her wedding. It starts with a dating service that Grannie sets up for Jordan, but Grannie makes sure that JT is watching over her at the restaurant that JT works in. Each date is a disaster until Jordan meets Steve. JT knows Steve and how he works but Steve and Jordan have much in common. What will happen? Not to mention Jordan is preparing her wedding while her Grannie is still alive. From wedding photo's to wedding cakes, and also having JT pose as her fiance.

It was an amazing read. I didn't know what to expect but with R.C. Matthews you will not be disappointed.
2.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but predictable 2.5 stars 15 Mar. 2016

This was a fast read. It's a cute premise, but was a little cheesy and predictable for my taste. The characters and story aren't overly complex. While it played out a bit like a made for tv movie, I think some people looking for a cute, short romance may enjoy this.
