All her life, Suze Simon has been a mediator, a person with the ability to see and speak to dead people. Because of this, her social life is constantly being interrupted by ghosts with unfinished business on Earth. But there is one plus to being a mediator: Jesse, the cute ghost who lives in her bedroom. Suze is determined not to fall for Jesse, but she does, and it's a relationship that will never work - he is dead, after all. And in spite of her complicated love life, Suze is determined to enjoy her summer break from school. Too bad her stepfather insists she get a job. She ends up working as a babysitter at a fancy resort, where her young charge is eight-year-old Jack Slater, who turns out to be a mediator himself. But then the ghost of Maria de Silva, the woman who had Jesse killed, shows up. She's determined that the truth never come out - even if it means killing Suze. This book contains a lot of amazing revelations that I won't spoil, so you'll just have to read to find out! I highly recommend this book to all fans of The Mediator series and Meg Cabot's other books.

This has to be one of the best in the series so far! I don't want to spoil it, so I won't say too much, but another mediator turns up and we learn more about Jesse, and his feelings towards Suze. When something unfortunate happens to Jesse, Suze goes to great lengths to save him, and he reveals a few things in return.

The Mediator books are great stories but before you buy - BEWARE. The title list implies there are 12 "Mediator" book titles by Meg Cabot whereas there are only 6, but each book is published under 2 different titles (why?). For information: "Mediator 1 - Love You To Death" ISBN 0 330437372 is identical to "Shadowland (Mediator)" ISBN 0060725117; "Mediator 2 - High Stakes" ISBN 0330437380 is identical to "Ninth Key (Mediator)" ISBN 0060725125; "Mediator 3 - Mean Spirits" ISBN 0330437399 is identical to "Reunion (Mediator)" ISBN 0060725133; "Mediator 4 - Young Blood" ISBN 0330437402 is identical to "Darkest Hour (Mediator)" ISBN 0060725141; "Mediator 5 - Grave Doubts" ISBN 0330418335 is identical to "Haunted (Mediator)" ISBN 0060751649; and "Mediator 6 - Heaven Sent" ISBN 0330434829 is identical to "Twilight (Mediator)" ISBN 0060724692.

In this book Suze shows her more emotional side and finally admits her feelings. We also learn a bit more about Jesse and his past. This is the best book in the mediator series so far, cant wait to read the next one.

In this book from some point Jesse goes missing (though he's a ghost) leaving a curious Susan who gets outraged at Maria and FelixDiego for his missing. She's quite persistent in getting Jesse back but gets Paul and his little bro Jack hooked up. THis one ends quite well.

Suze needs to solve Jesse's murder in this 4th instalment. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the previous book.
