Also, most of the recipes are really vague. For example, what are you supposed to cook the æbleskiver in? (which are not even "Danish Doughnuts" as the recipe calls them, but at least it is an actual recipe based on Danish cuisine) The recipe for the "Danish Doughnuts" just says "cook over low temperature setting in one fourth teaspoon of oil in the bottom of every space." From my boyfriend, I know you're supposed to cook them in a special æbleskiver pan, but nowhere in the recipe does it mention what type of pan you are supposed to use or even the fact that you are supposed to use a pan.
The author of this book also believes they can just add "Danish" to the name of the recipe to automatically make the food Danish, which is highly disappointing for people that are interested in trying REAL Danish food!
I would not recommend this book to anyone that is looking for recipes that even vaguely resemble Danish cuisine.
always looking for new recipes to break the monotony and make meals fun again. I’m guessing
you know what I am talking about. Well, here's something you probably haven't tried before --
Danish vegetarian food. That's what makes the book Top 30 Danish Vegetarian Recipes in Just
And Only 3 Steps worth a look. The recipes are laid out in a simple manner so that they can be prepared
in just three steps..
I really like how each recipe has a photo to give you an idea of how it should look. Give this book a try.
I bet you will have more fun at meal time!
illustrated in the preferred mode with color pictures
and detailed cooking instructions. Examples of
really good foods include Honey Roasted Squash
Rings, Kringla and Lima Beans.
The Quinoa Vegetable Casserole is an excellent
choice for dieters who have gluten sensitivity issues.
The potato salad is an interesting addition to the
book as is the Danish Cherry Soup which emulates
a dessert choice.
Overall, the book has some very interesting food
preparations for the diet conscious. In addition, the
price is right too!
