I loved Dangerous Love by Liz Lovelock it was a very emotional story full of suspense with a couple of twists that I really wasn't expecting but it was also a story about finding your way back to your one true love when you least expect it.
Jay and Brayden were the loves of each other's lives, then one day Brayden just up and left leaving behind a very heartbroken Jay. Years later Jay now a police officer is asked to work undercover, when she goes to meet her informant she's shocked to come face to face with her past. What unravels is hard for Jay to get her head around but she's also carrying a secret and she needs to tell Brayden the truth. Is there any chance for them to be together or will secrets and lies pull them further apart?

A ghost from her past turns up and evokes all these feelings from her, and somehow freshens the pain she suffered. Brayden Falcone was once the love of her life. And then he left. He left her and he broke her and left her alone to deal with what might be the hardest thing she's ever had to deal with. There's no way Jay will forgive Brayden so easily. What she's been through isn't so easily forgotten.
To be very honest, in the beginning and a bit towards the end, I had a very difficult time trying to connect to the characters emotional. But there's one scene (which you will know when you read it) that absolutely destroyed me. I cried so hard and couldn't stop. It really spoke out to me and I couldn't even begin to comprehend the rollercoaster ride of emotions that ran through me throughout the rest of the book. I loved this book. Despite a few bits, this book was everything angst and love. And how even though love is painful, it's a beautiful pain filled with hope and happiness.
It definitely wasn't what I was expecting but I love it so much. I love that its different and that it managed to evoke a deep yearning and understanding from me. Major points to Liz Lovelock for writing a beautiful story!
Brandon seemed like such a sweet character and really just wanted to protect Jaymie all the time even if that meant hurting her to protect her. I loved that even years later he was still so in love and so protecting of her. He had secrets but that just made the story exciting and made me want to just keep reading.
Jaymie had a bit of a rough start to life with being in foster care and then moving straight in with her boyfriend who just up and left her, after Brandon left she was hurt so badly and had to deal with so much heartbreak and really pick up the pieces and keep living.
This was such a great book and I am a big fan of Liz Lovelock’s writing. I just can't say too much without giving anything away but its a must read for sure, If you’re looking for a book, that is full of suspense, action, love, a book that just keeps you turning the page, then you have to give this book a go it is a really great paced, exciting book.
Jay had a hard upbringing, but found the love of her life, or so she thought until the day he walked away from her. After he walked away from her she lost more than just him. Fast forward years down the road. Jay has found a new beginning. She has a career, cop, and a great friend(Summer), who is like a sister to her. She still is dealing with her pain from her past, but she is moving along without the need for love. After an incident that lands her in the hospital, Jay ends up undercover, she is excited for the change and then she meets her new partner.
Bray was the one love for Jay, until he left her for no reason. Now he is back in her life and she has to accept it, for now. Bray still loves Jay and will do whatever it takes to get her back.
I really enjoyed the relationship and dialog between Jay and Summer. They talked like the best of friends and the closest of sisters. I also loved the chemistry between Jay and Bray. I was happy to see she did not drag out telling Bray the secret from their past. I also liked that Summer's thoughts towards Bray changed a few times through out the book, to me that would be more of how a friend would be, depending on how the man was treating her friend.
I had a hard time with the end and how quickly everything with Kate and Boss Man just seemed to slide into place. I felt there should of been more adjustments. I would like more of a back story with Jay's biological parents also, hint for another book! I felt like parts at the end were just rushed.
I thought this was a great story and had some twists that not even I had guessed were coming. I am excited to read the next book in this series about Summer and Luke and hope there are more to come! I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance and happy endings!
