Characters development was lacking especially for the heroin. The subplot for this novel was rather weak and on a series scale, aside from some interesting revelations, this book was a huge disappointment. At this stage, I will wait for other reviewers before going through with book 3.

This second Sentinels book made me smile from the opening page: Drew has been playing a game of cat and mouse with Talia since he was handed his mission to find the author who's been gathering information on the Sentinels, information that cannot see the light of day if the human and demon realms are to survive in balance. So, what else can a tenacious cat to do but turn kitty-napper in order to get his mouse? Well he soon finds out that Talia Maris is no mouse, but his match in every way...and a lot more than what meets the eye.

This tale had the humour, great dialogue, the hot passion that I've come to expect from JS Scott, and a very well matched pair of leads who found something in each other that brought out the best of them. Drew finally found what had been missing from his life since he'd been rescued and turned by the Sentinel king, and Talia finally found unconditional love and acceptance. These two felt like two souls who were drawn to other by fate and perhaps...a touch of well-intended...intervention.

The story arc of this series will continue over at least three, if not four books, and this one moves the series on a fair bit with the reveals about Talia's radiant powers, about her unique connection with the Sentinels, about the other radiants who are being held captive in the demon realm. There's even a bonus with the glimpse of Hunter's tale that we get, where we see him trekking through dangerous terrain to...his fate? To his...uber-radiant? To his...redemption?

Frankly, though I'm a beta reader/content editor for this author, she managed to blindside me with more than one thing in this tale, and with where she's taking this series, and even more so with the sneak peek into Hunter's tale. I can't wait for the rest.

This is Drew and Talia story, Drew has been sent to find the mysterious person who seems to know far too much about sentinel demons, yet when he finds her he is instantly filled with longing as he realises that she is his radiant.

Another fab book from JS Scott you are hooked in from the first page, with wanting to find out how the story plays out and as usual it is fantastic.

The characters are likable and the sexual chemistry is of the scales, Drew is one hot demon.

I loved the whole book I can't wait for hunters story, I love nothing more than a bad boy turned good so I'm sure it will be awesome

When a reclusive academic's work on demons lands her in danger, she must accept the protection of a sentinel demon with an appetite for food and romance.

This was my least favorite of J.S. Scott's The Sentinel Demon series. The chemistry between Dr. Talia Maris and Drew Winston never quite gets going. The book starts out with some excitement as Drew plots to capture his elusive charge. It's kind of cute how he finally manages to lure her into his clutches. But the relationship never really takes off. Drew is the least smoldering of the three heroes in the series. There's nothing particularly unique about him. Talia is a more fully developed character--and she has a great cat.

The underworld introduced in A DANGEROUS BARGAIN is explored and it's pretty scary. But the bad demons (the "Evils") aren't as big a threat as in the first book, where they caused all sorts of trouble.

The book entertains but it doesn't sweep you away.

Good second part of the story, Kristoff the Sentinel King is in trouble, Hunter is hurt physically and mentally, but Drew and Talia are married and happy together. Drew and Talia are so in love, but they have no time to rest as the Evils are threatening the humans and sentinels. The story is gripping and I will definitely download book three straight away.
