I must say when I first heard of this album I was to be honest, completely and utterly underwhelmed. But after much coaxing and encouragement I finally caved in and invested. I've got to say, oh my days, this album has transformed my life and this is on repeat in my car, I've even invested in another cd to keep permanently in my hifi at home so I can listen to it home or away. A special mention must go out to Chris Sanders, as he manages to carry the entire band on his own and lift them to a whole new level. His solos are so engaging you almost lose yourself and forget there's the rest of the band as well. Absolute class. 4 stars at least but with Sanders' performance it shoots up to a 10 star album but as it's amazon, 5 stars will have to do. Brilliant stuff lads, Sanders - get the guys back together for the much anticipated 2nd album

i believe this is "enchantments" debut & only release. what a shame that is, it is excellent. every song is played & arranged so well, full of atmosphere & beauty, bringing you up with piano parts & searing melodys then smashing you down with double bass drum work & crunching guitars. the vocals switch between growls & spoken words which works for me!!. the lyrics are kinda hard to understand, but each one is a lovelorn poem that if you read between the lines makes perfect sense. songs like "my oceans vast" & "of acorns that gather". oh my heart weeps. why didn't this band ever get the recognition that MY DYING BRIDE, ANATHEMA & even early PARADISE LOST got. if your into all the bands just mentioned, YOU MUST BUY THIS NOW!!. you won't be dissappointed.
