Product Description

About the Author

The character of Lucky Luke became a myth thanks to Morris (his creator) and Goscinny. These two giants of the 9th art collaborated with passion for more than 20 years until the death of the famous scriptwriter. Goscinny is the author of the well-known Asterix, which he launched with Uderzo. He also co-authored Iznogoud with Tabary. In 1992, Morris received the 'Grand Prix Special 20eme Anniversaire' from the international comics show at Angouleme, and in 1998, the French Minister of Culture decorated him with the rank of 'Officier des Arts et des Lettres'."

Reading Lucky Luke always takes me back to my young years when I'd wait breathlessly for the end of the month and buy his latest adventures. His sworn enemies, the Dalton brothers offer great comic entertainment, joining evil schemes with an amazing idiocy.

Lucky Luke is for me almost on a par with Asterix the Gaul and way above TinTin. Morris' deft, clean artwork is always a joy and his characterisation of the wild west is both warm and engaging. A definite for any lover of the French form of cartoons, which are so much better than any other countries, and I'm English and worked extensively for the Dandy so this really is an unbiased opinion

Well, anything can happen in a Lucky Luke story, such as, in this book, Lucky being waited on by the Dalton Brothers whilst they prepare their Saloon in their newly named Dalton City. This is a great fun, if completely ridiculous, ha ha.. Also we are introduced to Lulu and her dancing girls (you don't often get many females in these books) and good old Rin Tin Can, the hapless/hopeless pooch, is back for another story. Bravo!
