Dale Martin was raised in the piney woods of Eastern Texas in the 1950's and 1960's. Learning about primitive trapping and survival became just a natural by-product of having spent many days an hours in the deep forests of East Texas during those times.
Years later, while earning a business degree at the University of Texas, Dale took numerous courses in the anthropology of primitive tribes and cultures, and became fascinated at the survival techniques of what most of us would call "primitive" people.
In the following years, Dale's interest branched into military history and several "off the beaten path" disciplines such as firearm silencer design.
Dale is the author of 4 books. TRAPPERS BIBLE (1987), INTO THE PRIMITIVE (1989), EVERYMAN'S GUIDE TO OUTDOOR SURVIVAL (2011), and the science fiction novel SAFARI WORLD (2011).
Two other books are in the works currently. THE SHOT (non fiction) concerns the military history of the most celebrated long range sniper shot of the American civil war. And WEREWOLF is a new novel in the rewrite stage.
