Hotness factor: Just like an 80’s monster ballad!
We’re back in Clover Park with the always-entertaining O’Hare brothers. I like this family, they have one of the best chemistry I’ve read in a long time. They’ve been through a lot together and they love their granny… and so do I! I could be content just reading about their antics with or without the Garners sisters. I mean give it up to Rico… Suave!, Travis’s childhood friend.
The story picked right where it left off in the first book focusing Travis O’Hare, Daisy Garner and their baby son Bryce. Handsome, sexy Travis wanted Daisy to marry him and be a family but Daisy, she preferred living an ideal fantasy married life on her blog. She made it sound so great that she inadvertently lured her out ex-husband. He came to Clover Park with a TV crew and a lovesick attitude. That was just recipe for disaster!
Daisy and Travis or Foreigner’s inspiration for I Want To Know What Love Is, are a complicated match. I really like Travis, he’s hot, fun and he wants Daisy to Pour Some Sugar on him. However Daisy, she keeps singing Def Leppard’s Love Bites in his lovely ears. It’s not often that I read a book where the male protagonist doesn’t screw up. In my opinion, Travis did everything right by Daisy. In his life there's been heartache and pain but he’s one of the good ones. Daisy, Daisy, Daisy… It took me a while to warm up to her and her fickle ways. So Travis didn’t believe in love, I know you can show him, Daisy. So, he blackmailed you into marrying him as Liz pointed out, desperate times, Daisy, desperate times… Get with the program girl!
I really liked this instalment. It was entertaining and well written like the first one. Ryan and Liz are still the couple to beat but Daisy and Travis are very charming too. The rest of the cast was back for more shenanigans and Liz and Ryan finally got hitched! Ms Gilmore, keep them coming! To Shane’s story!
I RECEIVED AN ARC IN EXCHANGE OF THE HONEST REVIEW
Daisy hasn't had it easy. Growing up making some bad choices but she tries so hard to make everything better for herself and her son. She's a great mum and does everything with her son's best interest coming first, before anything. When she makes up a fantasy life on a blog (hey it couldn't hurt) and it garners some media interest, she thinks it's great! Just that small detail of it being one big, fat, lie!!
Travis is still trying to get Daisy to be with him, for their son, but Daisy turns him down, again....
To find out more about these people and the mess Daisy gets in, you need to get a copy. You won't be disappointed!!
