About the Author
In early 2008 the author successfully underwent the official training course at Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site to become an accredited guide and in the period between June and December 2008 conducted numerous `open tours' of the Memorial Site engaging in discussion with people from all parts of the world. It was from these `open tours' that the idea to write and publish a concise guidebook was formed. In January 2009 the author returned to the United Kingdom and continued to work on the manuscript which formed the basis of this first book, collaborating with Sheffield based designers and printers to bring the project to conclusion in December 2009. The author is now working on a second project investigating a certain aspect of the Holocaust in Poland, the manuscript for this project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2010.

A very well researched and presented guide book to Dachau. I found it accessible, even not having visited the site myself. I will be sure to take this guide book with me when I do visit as I feel it would be an invaluable resource. Don't make the mistake in thinking that you need to be blessed with an in depth knowledge of the holocaust either, you won't! This is a superbly researched and presented guide book and I could not recommend it highly enough.

I found the book to be an enlightening insight into a part of modern history that i know relatively little about. The information was concise and informative leaving me with an interest in learning more about this period of modern times.
