Only pit falls with this microphone is that the XLR jack is way too close to the stand screw which makes having fat stands impossible and shock mounts.
Additionally the LED light requires phantom power to work so if your desk doesn't support phantom power don't get this microphone.
I would also recommend a pop guard as the internal pop guard is average at best.
My only annoyance with the mic is it is not matt finish. It is chrome. Because of this there seems to be an awful lot of condensation forms on the mic as you sing. Not ideal when plugged in!!
Nice sound though and a great alternative look!
Protective case is excellent as well.
But - that is 10% of what this thing offers. Every single person to whom I have shown thing mike is just entranced. Even hard core non geeks look and say "that is so cool". Then, they want to touch. It is heavy, cool and smooth to the touch. Wow - if you want to stand out from the crowd and have some class about you - just get it.
Actually - just get is as an art object for you living room table - it looks that good!
I'm really pleased with the sound quality and there's no electric buzzing noise in the background, which I got from other mics.
Five stars is because this is the first mic in a long time that is outstanding on all counts. A good price for the build quality, too.

It looks great. Very shiny and vintage looking to perfection. However these mics are not renowned for being loud or clear, it's quiet and I wouldn't use it for a show.Published 7 months ago by Jade M
As a prop for my photographic studio it works very, very well.
I have not used it for singing or recording, I cannot comment on this aspect of the mic.
Really great retro look and feel to this mic a head turner. Used with a portable PA system in small hall, bar/club situations causes few problems, if you have a balanced XLR... Read morePublished 11 months ago by GRUMPY OLD MAN
I've never given any review 5 stars before. But this beauty deserves it. I was sceptical because of the low price. I have always used theSM58, but this mic. is at least as good. Read morePublished 11 months ago by pete the feet
