Nice book, with loads of background information, useful maps and ideas about places to visit when on holiday. Up to the standard expected from other guides in this series.

We have a bookshelf full of Eyewitness Guides and wouldn't go on holiday without one. Photography is eye-catching and our favourite feature is always the mapped out routes around places of interest - brilliant if you have limited time in a particular region.

In addition to great maps and details on key attractions (the 3D maps are particularly helpful), the upfront sections on background on Scotland are the right balance for being more informed about the history and culture, and accessible for children.

Gives a comprehensive coverage of the great things to see and do in Scotland. The visuals are also very helpful. I loved the sections on where to stay and eat and the Survival Guide contains useful tips. I would recommend this guide to anyone travelling in Scotland
