The first 39 pages in general information about the islands - history, geology, geography, flora, etc.
The next 100 pages then looks at each of the 7 islands. Each section starts with a map then describes each of the major towns, always beginning with the capital (which always has the most text).
The rest of the book is then practical stuff - shopping, eating, staying, etc.
We visited the capitals and did not explore the rest of the islands. For us the summary style of the book worked well and gave us ideas about what to visit in the limited tim that we were on shore.
Nothing is covered in much detail but that is the style of the book.
Not sure how useful for the other islands as we didn't travel to them so can't really comment but am sure it would be just as useful.
